There's a reason Mourinho never played this lad. He's utter fecking shite. I'm sorry, he may be a good guy, but he's clueless and has offered us nothing this entire season. I am not sure he is even good enough for PL. Not a lot of Westwoods, Mees, and Barnes in La Liga. He is not physical enough for this division IMO. Way too sloppy, makes horrible passes, crumbles under pressure, etc.

Good luck to him. His career will not be here. He has likely started the last time ever for United, if not last time ever playing for us at all.

A young player buys patience with potential. You've got to show glimpses of that potential. Fecked if I can remember the last thing he did that impressed me. I find it inexplicable for a young midfielder looking to impress to pull out of a 50/50 like he did in the first half. People saying Fred has been even worse are talking shite. Wildly inconsistent he may be but he shows flashes every time of what he's about. I don't even know what Andreas is. I know what some posters say he is, often in a deeply annoying, world-weary, patronising sighing type of delivery. But I don't see it. Away with him.

Scored a lovely freekick against the scousers in pre-season. Since then... I got nothing.

We have far too many players who play like 18 year olds despite being well into their 20's. Bailly, Jones, Fred, Rojo & Pereira being the main culprits.

Pereira's decision making today was absolutely dreadful. This is exceptionally worrying given that he's a midfield player who has no physical attributes and very little defensive ability. For him to have any chance at forcing his way into the first team you'd have to expect this part of his game to be top notch.

Fair play to Ole for giving him the chance, but I'm sure he won't be repeating that mistake again in a hurry.

Did nothing tonight to convince me he's a first-team player for United. Moved on in the summer probably, no matter who's in charge.

I dont think he has it. He strikes me like a player which the pressure gets to him. I mean some of the Burnley MFs were more composed than he was tonight.

I have seen him get caught out on occasions before like he was caught out tonight.

I think Ole will know he just has not got it.

I don't even know what position the lad prefers. As a CM he's absolute rubbish, offers absolutely nothing. I know Valencia played him on the wing but he'd probably be even more useless there for us. Overall everytime he's been given a chance he's done feck all to impress me. He needs to go.

No idea why people keep saying We should keep him.

I hope Ole, just like Fergie will only give so many chances for players, if They are liability We shouldn't keep them. Regardless if They're ex academy players.

People are talking like he’s been flopping all season? He played in the first two matches and looked the business, as I recall.

I’d rather not have him deep, where mistakes cost you, at least not yet. And today was pretty bad. That’s not to say we’ve seen anywhere near enough to throw him out, though.

Some seriously impatient folks in here.

The daft thing is, why start him?

Don't think Ole and the others expected Burnley to press that high and intensely, tbh. Pereira was put under a lot more pressure than he was expected to. Certainly didn't do himself any favors either, being rash where he should have backed off, and vice-versa, while misplacing most of his long balls.

Hes got some skill but he simply isnt good enough for us. He was out on loan for a reason and doesnt look like hes improved. Get rid and buy better imo. Would he get a game at city, liverpool etc ? No chance.

McTominay wouldn’t have made that mistake.
He’s an academy graduate and I wish him well, but there’s no doubt he’s not a top class talent.
Never seen him play well for us, other than a couple of pre season friendlies.

He's played one good game this season and that was our opening home fixture against Leicester City. That's it.Where he also played deep.
At this moment in time he's not good enough for us.He's 23 and needs consistent first team football and that simply is not going to come with us.

I think a permanent transfer would be best for us and him.He needs to cut ties with us completely from a career point of view.
He needs to focus on himself and be clear in his mind without the indifference of a United career hanging over his head.He needs to accept the reality at present.
And ,I reiterate,he's not going to get in our team and stay there anytime soon.

If people slate Lukaku and Jones regularly, then it's difficult even to imagine what should be told about performance of Pereira today. "Utter garbage" or "stinky shit" would be a gross understatement. Not only did he cost us 2 invaluable points, but he managed to demonstrate complete inability to compete in such a physical league as EPL and to withstand pressure - skills that are an absolute must for any Manchester United midfielder. Huge liability in defence (that is, contributed defensively even less than Mata), and nothing spectacular in offence.

Resume: should be offloaded immediately, with Garner being promoted (it's hard to believe Garner would be not better) and #4 position in midfielders pecking order transferred to Fred.

The main problem for him is he is too slow and too weak, so whatever sauce he is trying to do is never gonna work here in EPL. Doubt he will make it in Championship either ,we have seen Reading player bossed him around. Mctominay is 2x the player , Fellaini is 3x , at least none of them was physically weak. He lost 50:50 ball all the time, Burnley player was targeting on him by launching long ball toward his area cause he lost every single aerial duels, He was bad at reading the game the game as well , Burnley first chance was because he mistime his pressing and Matic had to bust his gut to cover it for him. On the bench he is the next Pirlo but whenever he play , He is btec Kleberson

Wasted his chance. I've always been a skeptic of him, despite wanting him to succeed.

He should go in Summer.

He’s barely played after the start to the season.

Anyway, you may well be right, but I still maintain that a lot of reactions on here and elsewhere are knee-jerk.

I wonder where did the hype come from? Bought him as young prospect, never done anything spectacularly. Compare to the like of Morrison, Janujaj, James wilson, he was not even close...yet somehow some people thought Peirera wass going to be the next best thing.

Jesus either he's just bad or deep position is not for him

Neither parts of that tweet are even correct and he was just as good as Willo.

My issue with him is that, even in his better moments,he offers little offensively and similarly nothing defensively. He's just there,in the middle, doing the simplest of things.
Individually he doesn't take control of a situation nor imposes himself onto the game. Its like he's happy to be a this mediocre figure.

Wouldnt he? Fernandinho just did basically the same thing for City tonight and hes arguably the best CM in the league

McTominay literally gifted a goal in one of his so called best games. McTominay would have hid and never asked for the ball in the first place.

I think he may have blown it today. Though, he may come good somewhere. Just not here.
Honestly, he blew it when he fecked off to Valencia to play out wide. He needed to get a settled position in the middle, whether here or on loan somewhere in the Championship. He came back this season with Fred and McTominay in addition to the players he would've been competing with for a role last season.

I’d assume, and I think Ole said as much, that he looked good in training. If Herrera is going to be rested then it’s pretty much him or Fred and I’m guessing Pereira looked better.

Young players who play every week can be frustrating. Example: rashford today.

Young players who don't even play every week, you can't be too quick to decide on anything really.

His performance today was very so so. But he is capable of a lot more. Today was a different test. He played it too safe. Maybe it won't be tomorrow when we'll have a good replacement to Herrera. But it is one positive step on right direction first to see if he can train playing there and keeping things as flowing as they were with Ander. Easy to say after today that he was a disaster. But am curious to see how much more time and attempts he can and should be given. It's not like we have paused our season to let our kids have a go at things. Every one of our kids know the cost of feck ups. I believe in Andreas. Heck two world class managers didn't believe in Ander. It's okay.

I swear if he wasn't from the academy he would receive x 10 times the stick. Some people here have overated him because we all like the romantic story of a academy player breaking through the team and developing like the class of 92 but lets stick to the facts. He had an ok season nothing special with Granada and people was asking for him to start. He then went to Valencia and couldn't earn a place and still some people wanted him to start before Matic, and then the few chances he gets this season he has been a massive dissapointment.

He played like an amateur against Reading 2 weeks ago and today may be one of the worst performances I have seen in some time. He was awful against a Burnley side that offers nothing besides physicallity, if he can't be up to the expectations in a home game against Burnley then how can we expect him to make the difference in the important games?

Some facts and statistic from todays game:

Recoveries Made vs Burnley:

9 – Jones
7 – Matic
7 – Shaw
5 – Lindelöf
5 – Pogba
4 – Young
2 – Rashford
2 – Mata
1 – Sánchez
0 – Lingard
0 – Lukaku
0 – Pereira

In addition of not recovering the ball 1 single time as a midfielder, he also lost the ball 14 times. According to Whoscored he was the lowest rated player on the pitch with 5.3

I seriously don't know how he could had a worst game than this. Obviously the inflection point is the lost ball that turned into the first goal for Burnley, but he had being attrocious before that as well.

He is on a terrible form and he is not that young anymore, he is already 23 years old. Compare him to other players of him generation like Alli, Arthur, De Jong, Rodri from atletico, Ndidi, Ndombele, Neves, Bentancur all of them are the same age or younger than Andreas and have proveen way more than him. If he was good enough he should had showed it by now. We are not talking about an 18-19 year old that is just breaking out into the team, he has been around for almost 4 seasons and hasnt been up to the challenge.

I know we are all about giving youth a chance but enough is enough, we should not waste more minutes in to him, it's clear he won't make it. Let's use those minutes in other players that might make it here.

Start Fellaini instead, and we don’t lose 2 points tonight.

That in itself is enough evidence to prove Andreas is not good enough for this club, when he is a lesser replacement for Marouane.

Costly mistakes, and not for the first time in his time at United. He’s never impressed me in any of his matches.

I would love to know what Ole sees in him, that’s for sure.

To me he looks clumsy and weak with little to no foresight and zero awareness of what is going on around him. He’s like a lost schoolboy out there.

There is a player in there with Andreas, but it won’t happen for him here.

He needs to leave for his own sake and go somewhere where he will play every week.

Awful mistake, worse performance.

He’s a more nothing player than Cleverley ever was and that takes some doing.

Absolutely nothing remarkable about him whatsoever and some down right bad traits in his game that make him not up to standard to even be a squad player.

He’ll go to Spain or France or Italy and disappear.
