Really? I would say that it is pretty good save rate. Every 5th penalty.
https://sqaf.club/what-percentage-of-penalties-are-scored-stats/

15% of penalties in the PL are saved according to that link, so 20% save rate is a significant outperformance. Whether is it a statistical outlier or not is up for debate. (stats who 7/33 saved)

https://www.unitedinfocus.com/news/...-penalty-and-how-does-dean-henderson-compare/

De Gea over his career was a bit above that average surprisingly, but expect he tailed off in more recent memory. 14/74 saved.

It's worth keeping in mind that United are conceding 5 or less penalties in the league per season, so we are talking about a goal difference every 4-5 years or so, essentially an irrelevant stat.

It’s a very relevant stat for various cups (including UCL)

Pretty much + should be in time for our game in Edinburgh vs Lyon.
Would be awesome if we can also get Hojlund on the flight to US
I'll be amazed if that one gets done in time to be honest. I think the ST situation will run until August because we'll have one eye on other situations opening up late in the window.

I thought the same till we had a bid submitted. So we are already further along than we thought. I'm sure enough Atalanta will just settle at 60 (Which I think is too fecking much anyway).

Wait what? We've made a bid? I thought it was just the Italians getting carried away as usual

glad this is getting done, but kinda crazy Eth knew this guy, he was free last year, everyone in the club must have known Eth's style of play and how De Gea did not fit it, and we could have (clearly) blown Inter out of the water financially on wages, and yet we waited a year before going for him and now are paying £50m+ as a result.

It completely changes our shape in possession. Which negates any team's front press. Teams will have to be incredibly organised to stop us playing out from the back and keeping the ball.

Neither picture represents our past or future shape in any way.

It was/will be 325, 316, 3223 or other variations

Not this again.

Shit I thought there was at least one respectable journalist that reported the same.
I have become what I feared :nervous:

Onana had agreed the deal long before Ten Hag had took over. Timing sometimes just doesn't work, de Gea was having a good year, we had other priorities, de Gea had another year on his contract. It is what it is. Onana was also coming off a down year, the drug thing, so there were more question marks about how he'd adapt to a bigger league and if he could bounce back so he wasn't a no brainer last summer.

if he was already inter bound before Eth then fair enough. annoying though

i really don't get how people can be so ignorant yet but also confident enough to keep posting
No one reads the last couple pages ever. I see it all the time with the same tweets being posted constantly and the same discussions/questions that have been answered 3 times already on the previous page. It can get a little annoying

It's not all about reading last few pages. If you're going to make a bold statement, you better be sure of it. 1 simple google search would've given the answer very quickly.

I’ve watched some YouTube videos on him and while I’m impressed, I’m a bit worried about how his method of constantly parrying shots straight in front of him back in to the 6 yard box. A lot of the saves he makes he gets lucky with defenders hoofing it clear…I’d like to see him divert more of his saves away from the goal…

Oh here we go again

I don't get it either, you're the first person ever to ask this in a thread of 103 pages which otherwise has considered all possible angles of the Onana transfer.

Ok, this and the AFCON question, those are two obvious omissions in the debate. Glad you raised it!
