Anderson Vs Lucas

It's not really as absurd as you'd suggest.
From what i've seen, which is still very little, Lucas is a very good youngster. His passing is incredibly consistent.
However, i think we've got someone very special in Anderson. If he keeps this up, then who knows how far he'll go? He's such a complete player already and i think only injury could halt this immense progression.

Anderson has the potential to be the best player in the world, Lucas has the potential to be a 'top 4' Premiership player, there lies the difference.

Based on tonights game, Anderson by a hundred million trillion country miles.

Anderson is mint.

Lucas can feck off.

Torres is slightly better than Tevez. (Not necessarily better for us mind)

Close shutters.

tonight was the first time I became aware of Lucas' existense

tbf its an unfair comparison

He did slot home v. Everton in the 90th save for Phil Neville's hand stopping it on the line, that said I don't think he will get enough of an oppurtunity to succeed at Liverpool, or if nothing else it will take him far longer with the people in fron tof him

I wouldn't bet against Anderson being the best player in the world in the future sometime, he's already shown that quality he has in him. From what I've seen of Lucas, which is very little like yourself, he might have potential but of course that will be wasted at Liverpool given who's first choice in front of him, and he'll most likely be shown the door by Rafa.

at a novel guess, i'd suggest you Mancs back Anderson, Liverpool fans will back Lucas, and in 10 pages time we'll be talking about who is the better, Torres or Tevez, how many fans you have in Asia.

i havent seen that much of Anderson. Lucas looks quality from what i have seen of him, very solid on the ball, always seems to create space for himself, and is a good passer. but its far to early to tell

well said

Lucas is a very good player to be fair,

How do you know?

Unless people have been following the kid before he went to Liverpool then they cannot judge. It seems that he has barely kicked a ball this year.

Tevez v Torres.

Torres looks class. He is however the focal point of all Liverpool attacks.

Tevez looks class, but is more involved in the play from build up to finishing.

Tough comparison. Torres should finish with more goals because of his role in the team. Tevez will probably be involved in +85% of Uniteds goals in one form or the other.

Torres looks a classier footballer but Tevez's workrate brings him up to a different level of player.

It's all about opinions.

Good post!

I am laughing my arse off at this thread and a similar one on the lfconline site

Surprise surprise, United fans think Anderson is better and Liverpool fans think Lucas is better, and both sets of fans are speculating that their player will become the world's best. This is at a stage in their careers where neither of them has played twenty games in the premier league.

Compare them both is stupid and more stupid is to say Lucas is even at Anderson level.

who is

Rafa_The_Man on that dipper forum ? Its like that film 300, he aint got a fecking chance.

That Tiger_Man in the scouser-forum annoys me. I think he is one of us, but he says, that anderson started poorly?
WTF? Anderson has impressed from the very first minute on the pitch for fecks sake

All i saw from lucas, was missing a sitter against chelsea, yesterday.

Yeah but he got himself into the position though didnt he. i'd like to see anderson get into the same position more:( but i think such attacking play is against his instincts, which i dissapointing.

 No its not because of his instinct, it's because it's not his job to get into that position.
The lack of good strikers is the reason why lucas had to get into it, and he didnt make it, so what?
Anderson's passing is phenomenal, his tackling and workrate as well.
And he showed us that his dribbling is also great, against the scouser.
Cant get your point.

What does it matter anyway, we buy a brazilian talent so they do, they buy a world class striker so we do. its all very petty, but the real competition is on the pitch which we ace every season, everything else a side Liverpool are still poor, the past three games have shown it.

Their fans dont have a leg to stand on.

At the moment he's like a cross between hagreaves and carrick-a tenacious ball winner with a good passing range, but who rarley attacks or scores.

I want him to be more like a cross between ronaldinho and hargreaves, an awsome attacking force but with a great desire and ability to win the ball.
Thats the sort of player we need, scholes is nearing the end of his career.can we see anderson ever getting 15-20 goals in a season?

In all honesty in his league debut he was less than stellar and only played a half, however the whole team was stuttering then, every match he has been in since he has been one of the more impressive players on the field

My point is, quite clearly that anderson needs to attack more-and most think the same. saf said that hes gonna need to add goals to his game ala scholes. by the way i think anderson is mint and is in a different league to lucas who looks like a tramp.

Is it ronaldos job to get into that position? cus hes there alot.

Paul scholes used to back up the strikers all the time when he was a bit younger playing in anderson's position.

They still had 2 strikers on the pitch and whether theyre shit or not is, at the end of the day subjective.

Iiiii know, anderson is a brilliant player with a incredible maturity, i'm not saying hes shit or somthing just cus i want him to get forward more!

Is there even a debate here?
Apologies for ignoring nearly all previous posts.

To be fair its a bit like comparing Torres to forgive me for not thinking of an United equivalent, but Eduardo. With the latter the talent is there but he needs time.
