Anderson on his way out?

I think we'd definitely sell at that price. Pretty much getting our money back for a player who hasn't really had hat fantastic a stint at the club. Still love the chap but maybe it's time to shift on. Bet you he turns into a fecking beast playing in Italy.

If AC Milan don't want to pay 7 million for Aquilani then there is no chance they will offer anything like 15m for Anderson.

There should be a rule against starting threads based soley on the word of goal.com...

In fact, there should just be a rule against goal.com

I'd rip their hands off for £15M... especially if I thought we'd reinvest it in a talented replacement.

At 15 million we should consider it...lot of potential talent but whether or not he will ever realize it is a huge question.

Exactly what I was about to post, if in Man Utd's position I'd take that money all day long and stick another £20mill in and get Modric

Because they're debt-free and loaded.

Oh wait, they're not! Could it be that the Goal.com exclusive is a fabrication!?

You don't have to be debt free or loaded to buy a player, and 15 million is not THAT much to begin with (when you consider how the transfer could be structured and how much a player of his age / potential would go for).

Whether or not it's a fabrication however, only time will tell.

In fairness, if we buy another midfielder (Modric, Strootman or whoever), Ando would likely not get many minutes even if he stays healthy all year. If he were to move, I can see it built on just such logic.

You'll be lucky to get Anderson off the wage bill let alone get a fee.

Nobodys going to pay any sort of fee for a player whos done pretty much feck all for 2/3 seasons.

:wenger:

Can none of you remember how good Anderson was at times last year? This lad is going to be a beast!

He's 24 for feck sake and it's been 5 seasons, and 'at times' is around 5 games, and he was outshone by Cleverley in those games.

He has failed and failed and failed again, 15m? Yes please.

Obviously bullshit though, we'd never get a decent fee for him so we may as well give him one more season.

I wouldn't be in a rush to sell him but I don't think there's a club in the world that would pay us that sort of money.

I hope we don't sell him and that the injuries or nights out dry up. Wouldn't take £15m for him at what, 23? Would take the risk and hope he puts on a 40 game season. Always believed we shackled him a bit as well in terms of getting forward. He's one of our most skillful players and I like to see players like that.

Him and Clev in CM started to look good until injury broke it. Both the same age as is Kag.

He's 24, but only ever had one preseason with the club, and got unluckily injured through that.

He's played some fantastic games, obviously has got the attributes, but has been at the moment unlucky with injuries. He's still a babe for a CM in such a league, and has all the talent to make it.

He's played almost 150 games for United now. I'm confident with a run of games he'd be fecking phenomenal.

I really don't think that's a valid excuse for 5 injury stricken seasons, and at times it's looked like it's his own fault because he loves eating pies and constantly seems so unfit on the pitch.

I do not doubt his talent, but this is the worlds biggest club we're talking about, regardless of age it has been 5 seasons now and to not deliver at all after that is really poor. Let's not forget that people were calling for Nani's head after 2 fecking seasons and Fergie seemed close to getting rid of him.

I think the main reason Anderson will still be here next season is because he plays in our weakest position and cost a lot of money.

This just isn't true. Some of you just got all too over-excited by Clev at that early stage.

I wasn't one of them, you can look at that thread to see.

I'm not claiming Cleverley was brilliant, he was just very good, and better than Anderson. After those few games Anderson went to shit apart from a few games here and there, as he usually does because he's so unfit. he's the definition of inconsistent.

Disagree with that. Cleverley was neat and tidy but Anderson was the driving force in those early season games. His performance at Bolton was immense. Way better than anything Cleverley's managed so far in his United career.

There's nothing wrong with goal.com, it's simply a collation of a shedload of football news.

You can weed out most of the untrue stories anyways; but tell me an alternative, which is better. Simply said, they'll do the searching of articles for you, and organize them so you can see all the English football / Man Utd ones, and then you see which ones have quotes.

Theres precious little alternative. Just don't treat it as fact, and with a hint of suspicion at some articles with quotes. But it's better than waiting for the club to make announcements, which is the only 'official' way to do it.

Surely he would've made his mark by now. Maybe United is just not the place for him and he will benefit from a change, like Forlan. Either way I wouldn't miss him, that's for sure.

Without a doubt, Anderson was clearly the better player when those two were together.

I don't want to see him go, I still have faith he will become an awesome player if he is able to take the chance.
