Ander Herrera is a Manchester United Player!

Mitten is in Brazil, isn't he?.. At least a photo, or a quote would be good. Every article just gives a vague finger pointing back to that original article. Pogue I think said last night - 'there has been no new evidence but everyone seems to be talking like it is a done deal.. Not sure' (or something similar) I am just saying the same. @Olly needs to Photoshop a gif of the Jurassic Park scene with all of the fences failing and replace it with 'reporting' and Ander Herrera to United at the top. would be a classic.
Mitten being Brazil doesn't mean he doesn't have access to the internet or a Mobile phone.

Always on the attack Nev! Do you actually post to agree with anyone, other than to just post to piss all over folks comments?

Its a feckin squad game now & our mid-field squad is pish. We need options. You could play 4-3-3 with Carvalho as the sitter & rotate Strootman, Herrera & Vidal as the 2 box-boxers in CM. Thats 3 out of those 4 on the field already. You could even play all four of that crew, if we're holding on to a tight lead.

Most of the top teams in Europe have quality options in mid-field - we dont & we need to address that. The more we bring in the better & get rid of the deadwood at the same time..
I disagree with things that are either wrong or unrealistic. Expecting United to sign 4 new central midfielders, all of the quality you've just mentioned, isn't even remotely realistic. 2 out of them and you'll be doing well.

I like you, you're a sound fella, but I wonder what planet you're on sometimes when I read your posts in the transfer forum. You come up with the most ridiculous want lists of players, say this is what we should be doing, and then get annoyed when it proves to be impossible.

You're a proper moron.

Tells you a lot about doing any actual journalism though. Not much you can accomplish with a mobile phone and an email address when it comes to proper news, especially on a completely different continent. Mainly why I think it's just a re-spam of the original article in a hope to be a bit ITK. If he comes out in the next few days with some concrete evidence and THEN it's MIRV spammed by the British press, I think people can unzip so to speak.

Very much looking forward to hopefully having this confirmed tomorrow by the club. I'm sure he will be good for us and really help sort out our midfield woes. Obviously more quality signings are required but this is a very good start from what I have seen of him he's certainly very promising and an improvement to our other options in the central midfield positions.

Cleverley will either be Herrera's backup or will get sold IMO, while I can't see Carrick getting affected cause he plays on an anothr position.

Do you reckon Anders will play the box to box role and Carrick will be the playmaker? Does LVG play like that? Not too sure what position Herrera actually plays, as I've not seen much of him, to be honest.

Wait, how do you think most of the journalists get their stories? Most of it is done by phone. A reporter doesn't have to be in Manchester to get some inside news, that's silly.

Are you going to admit you're wrong when he's announced by the end of the week?

Wrong about what?.. I want us to sign him. Wrong about the articles not really saying anything new in relation to the signing and pointing to the original article? Wrong about people saying it's probably going to happen? What a weird thing to have to 'admit you're wrong' to.

If you think we are all idiots for believing Mitten etc, why do you even bother posting in this thread.?

One of the good thing about this signing is the needed dynamism he would add to our midfield.
Dynamism, technique, passing ability - he's a great addition in a fair few ways. An all-rounder with a superb attitude by all accounts.

Where did I say that? Who cares who I think is an idiot? There has been no other evidence that this is happening other than a rehash of the original article as a 'source in spain saying'.

I fully expect with this 'medical' revalation that there will be a whole bunch of 'medical' articles come out in the morning for you guys over there. Proper ITK :lol

Because he's a moron. He's been at it all day.
It's morning where I am, just had my coffee and read the rags.

Do you know anything at all about how the BBC go about reporting stuff?

They report nothing without solid sources, and if it's just a rumour, like on their rumour mill page, they credit the source.

They aren't reporting this as a rumour, they're reporting it as fact. And if they're doing that then they've had confirmation.

What new info you want.? It's been reported by the original source that United agreed to pay the release clause and personal terms agreed with the player. All tabloids are reporting it now quoting the original source because that's how media works.

Goldenstatesplash is really trying to make a name for himself. Lets see how this pans out.

This is nonsense. It's been pointed out to you on more than one occasion that the people reporting it aren't all reportingabout sources in Spain or based on the original article. The BBC, as an example, don't do that. Ever.

Well, you should start eating grass instead off drinking coffee - I hope you are clever enough to figure out why.
You will sit nicely in my ignore list.

A new quote in every article is not a necessity in order to confirm a transfer you know? BBC has his own sources and they happen to be very accurate, everybody knows there is a big difference between "The Sun" claiming Herrera would be close to joining or BBC. When BBC claims it they are right 99% of the time. If the Sun would report it, it probably wouldn't even be mentioned on this forum. Speaking of quotes, it seldom happens a club or player confirms a transfer before it is official.

New info. Exactly, that is how the media works.

What happened here was you came in the thread to laugh at muppets getting excited over nothing, then very soon after reliable sources reported it and it made you look a bit silly. Now you're doubling down to save face, even though you know deep down it's ON.

I asked if there is any new info and was told all the big outlets were reporting it. I read all the big outlet articles and they offered no more than 'this is coming out of Spain' as in: 'This looks like it will probably be happening lets run with it in the hope that it does'. If people take all of this a bit seriously and personally and get all upset over it then it's not really my concern.

I wanted some more, new, concrete evidence and there doesn't seem to be any. Yet there seems to be a lot of articles saying it's a done deal. With a few well known and reputable people saying so on social media. Not enough there to work with I'm afraid. I can't really be sure if this Spanish mob is reliable enough. First suggestions even from the CAF when it broke were that they were not to be trusted. More scary is if it turns out tobe false and even the big outlets have been taken for a ride.

There was the whole Impostor thing last year and I don't think we'll see anything as mental as that so this is chookfeed.

He either has no clue how the media works and he doesn't want to learn or he's a WUM, which is the more likely option.

I don't really see what you're trying to achieve though. The chances are it will happen and it won't matter how satisfying you thought the evidence was beforehand.

I refuse to believe you're that stupid, which is a compliment, however I do believe that you're a painfully annoying WUM that'll eventually be fecked out the door. For your own good, just stop it.

Maybe the transfer forum just isn't for you. When it's on manutd.com someone'll start a thread in the united forum and you could question the reliability of the announcement there.
