This guy is really not that good. A spanish Cleverley.
Based on what evidence? Enlighten one with your knowledge of all things Herrera and Cleverley. This guy is really not that good. A spanish Cleverley.
Wonder how long it will take him to settle properly. Having De Gea and Mata will be pretty important in this regard.
I think he is premier league made . And most spaniards seem to hit the ground running in England. Saw it with the Man City pair last season. Mata and Cazorla in the last few seasons.

No smoke without fire...
There seems to be a lot of smoke here. From decent sources too.
What I don't understand now is, why the feck did Moyes not go back for him in January?
This is going to happen I reckon. Add Strootman in January and we'll have a high energy, non porous midfield again!
I agree with that. Regardless of our Strootman plans, we need 2 midfielders this window and I hope we're half way there by the end of today!I prefer if we go for two midfielders this summer. And go for Strootman in January. I don't think Herrera alone would solve our problems, but would be a good start.
Anderson is gone. Question marks over Fellaini and Cleverley. Carrick and Fletcher need replacing.
Release clause goes up on July 1st so you'd assume we need to be quick about this. You'd also assume we know what we're doing after last year's screw up...
The flurry of reports seems appropriate given tht we have a week to sign him before his release clause rises. If anything is happening here, it would be now.
I watched almost all of his games last season (after our links with him last summer) and I really like him and hope we get him. His poor start to the season was overstated imo. He was used as a sub or subbed off a few times (when he wasn't even playing particularly badly) early in the season and people seemed to assume it was because he was in poor form but I don't think he was personally. Anyway after the early teething problems with the new manager he had a really good season.
He played more advanced than I imagine he would here but he's still involved in most of the midfield play and often made the most (or was in the top two or three) passes for Athletic Club. He is energetic and isn't afraid to get stuck in. He presses energetically and harries the opponents, not giving them time to settle on the ball and won't think twice about flying in to try to win the ball back. His link up play is really good too (if a tad sloppy on occasion). I think he would be perfect for us.
What I particularly liked about him was that he really came alive in some of the big games against Madrid and Barcelona last season iirc and was probably Athletic Clubs best player in those games. He isn't a world beater but I think he'd bring our midfield a bit more dynamism and tempo.
I really hope this happens.
The player is already in England and signed a four-year, gaining about three million Euros per each.Tuesday could be official.Spanish will be the third team to train Louis Van Gaal, with international Juan Mata and David de Gea.
It says "gaining 3 million euros each year". Am I to assume that means 3 million on top of what he's already making or just 3 million euros total? What do we think?
Since it's a translation I took the "gaining" as meaning "earning".
Well if you believe Marca it's already been done!
I though that but it seems a little low TBH.
Works out at 44k a week.Mhm, yeah it does seem a tad low.
Do not want, would rather have vidal @Plugsy
De Gea will take him in I suppose!Has his cousins friend been house hunting in Manchester yet?

I want Messi and Ronaldo. Some things aren't achievable though.Do not want, would rather have vidal @Plugsy
Lot of inflated prices for players we are going after. Was always going to be the case when the club were coming out saying we were going to have a big summer and needed to rebuild the squad. If I were a team that had a player United wanted, I'd hold them to ransom as well since they have stated there is much money to spend and they aren't afraid to spend it.
Never thought that was a good idea, even if it was more to keep the fans excited for the future.
I would have thought Martinez would be the third member, that photo looked like bro-cheatingSo there could be a Spanish love triangle at united next season: De Gea, Mata and Herrera.
