Ander Herrera's agent said on Saturday that no contact had been made with him from either United or Chelsea. So either he was lying or the bid came in today for him, or this story is bullshit. I'll probably go for the latter atm as I'd be surprised if Van Gaal has sanctioned going for him considering he was a Moyes target.

There's nothing new. There have been rumours all year saying United wanted to sign him and then Jose Mourinho and Chelsea, but I haven't heard anything.

The focus of the player is Athletic and nothing else.

Ander is on vacation and he only thinks about next season with Athletic, because he is very excited to play in the Champions League with this team.

I've seen him play well against Barca and a few other teams and from the very little I saw of him, I thought that he was class but then I read that he isn't always that good and that he disappointed largely this season in Spain.

With all the leaks from the club having apparently stopped with LVG's arrival I suppose we shouldn't be surprised if our deals come slightly out of the blue. Plus we obviously already have a pretty firm connection with Herrera's camp as we were interested last summer, so some of the ground work would already have been done.
