No matter who we buy there will always be someone who says someone is better. The old his wife is sexier than mine syndrome. To me it is up to the manager to mould these players into a team. You could have a World XI and not win the league if they are just a team of individuals. You need a number of hard workers in your side. I would actually prefer a couple more Ander's as not sure some will pull their weight when the going gets tough and that has been the problem for a number of years.

Look at Fergie's teams especially latter ones. As indviduals they weren't great but they worked in a system and work good they did.
We have been saying for the last few seasons that our managers have not built a system round the players they have, instead have played players out of position to shoehorn other players in. There seems to be no plan. Sir Alex was scouting Ander, then Moyes instead of going straight in for him from the start, left it until the last day of the transfer window. I bet SAF had a plan for him.
It seems Jose likes him and lets hope he'll know how to use him. Finally a manager who will know that hopefully.
Some just can't be happy for the guy. He is hardly getting game time but our most difficult games where we lost, he has been the only positive across the two games.
So, he's dropped after being our best player for the past two games. Not blaming Mourinho and moaning, but hopefully people can stop at least blaming him for being inconsistent or something like that. If he was tristed as some of our other players he would be much better too, but even used like this he's started the season really well.

I am not a big fan of him, but every time he puts in decent performances, he gets benched in favour of other out of form players. Same with van Gaal. It is quite baffling.
