And Solskjaer has won it!

Another game in which we were shite with Ole on the bench.

Mate we have literally seen posts defending him last week after taking a 0-5 spanking from LFC at home, you think it would be any different if we were at 7 points instead of 17 for those guys? Perhaps some are more attached to Ole and the United of the past rather then what our club currently is now and I can understand that sentiment even if I find it quite damning

One match isn't a relegation battle, they're completely different things.

Nobody is more attached to Ole than the club, just because they don't share your "Ole out immediately" opinion.

What constitutes sticking with the club? Backing the manager blindly cos he's a legend or wanting what's best for the club? If the definition of being a proper supporter as you put it is the latter then rest assured we're all proper supporters.

Sticking with the club transcends whoever the manager may or not be. I should imagine we all want what we think is best FOR the club but we can't really influence what happens AT club so we support them through thick and thin.
Older supporters also experienced relegation (plus the thrill of dominating the second division the following season) and a succession of so so managers before AF came along and worked his magic.
Backing the manager blindly is not what's expected of fans but supporting the club and team through lean times as well as fat is.

We did well to win then, considering we were shite?

And had more corners.

And more shots on target.

And more possession.

And goals.

But yeah, shite.

I thought Bayern (a good team, going for a treble themselves?) were better for a long while and we were good last 30.

A glorious moment in the history of sport going back to Ancient Greece, roughly 776 BC I think, but we all need to move on.

I got my football mad 8 year old some old season reviews for his birthday in June.
I've watched the early noughties ones with him recently and the absolute range and quality of Oles finishes is extraordinary. Accuracy level was insane he hit the corners of the net like nobodies business.

I'd been bigging up Ruud to my lad ahead of watching them (he was deadly too of course) but it was Ole that stood out the most

Indeed mate. Remember watching MUTV and they showed all his goals. As you said the range and quality was very impressive.

My favourite United moment. It might be negatively affecting us now as it’s the reason he’s our manager still as he’s a legend but that moment is still heart stopping

He could relegate us and it won't affect my memories and fondness for that night, for that moment. It's the greatest moment in football to me personally and Ole will always be a part of that.

But on the flip side the fact he scored that goal doesn't affect my opinion or criticism of him as a manager. He's not good enough and should be sacked immediately.

Great player, terrible manager.

It was a joke, don't overthink it.

Kindly send those last two words in big BLOCK CAPITALS to someone high up in the club

The Munich players are on their knees, they don't know what's hit them... Manchester's hit them!
