Yes, Hannibal and Ethan playing all the time and going real well. Not as much about Fernandez though. How good to have Ethan come back and back up Dalot!!!! Hannibal will be in 1st squad and playing next season. ETH will love what he brings. Amad maybe??? Another loan in the PL.
I still think they all need another season on loan before they start to add value to the 1st team squad and their own careers. The only 'desperate' situation would be Dalot's backup but it looks like Malacia or Williams maybe ample backups.
In another season then Bruno and Casemiro will require more 'rest time' and that's when players like Amad and Hannibal can sub in.
His first touch is wonderful. Now if he could play in a system where the players know where they need to run to, his passing conversion rates will rocket up.

IIRC Cleverly's loan was after Welbeck. Henderson had lot of very good loan spells, Laird also had good loan spells.
What to do next with Diallo will depend on several things.
Do we loan out elanga? Do we sell van de beek? How does Sancho perform when he's back?
What is clear about Diallo is he's extremely gifted, an excellent passer with great control. His finishing has also improved. He needs to improve his body strength. The way he plays reminds me of David Silva (not saying he will be good) he has great potential to develop into a playmaker, maybe a no8 /10 if got stronger.

Happy for him but always expected it from him. Along with Greenwood and Rashford, he is one of the three most talented youngsters to be at the club in more than 10 years. Hope Ten Hag recognises this and fully integrates him into the first team next season.

1. That’s not guaranteed that he plays every week. There’s a long history of prospects not being utilized properly by the loan club and then the manager gets fed up with trying to develop a young player and he becomes a bench option instead.
2. Going to a shit PL side where he’s going to be under siege majority of weekends or playing a completely different style of football from what he would be with us isn’t necessarily a good thing either.
I just don’t agree with the thinking that every young player should have to graduate through some series of loans before being ready to offer value to the first team. We are settled enough now where he would have a great opportunity to shine, and he’s the only other option we have for a left footed RW as well as providing cover for Bruno. He’s already a better passer than Antony as well.
I agree with this. If he keeps up his current form and pace of development, he’ll be a part of most matchday squads and get enough minutes over the whole season. No point loaning him out to a bottom half PL team next season, unless there’s someone like Brighton, who play expansive football (under De Zerbi), willing to loan him and play him regularly.

I’d argue that Dalot at AC Milan was a success. And Henderson at Sheffield United.

He is doing well and a lot will depend on whether he continues to gain physical strength but next season will be time to see if he can contribute. In the first half of the season we have the early rounds of the league cup and the CL/EL first round games which normally include a lot of dead rubbers or games against fodder so there will be ample opportunity to see what he is about at first team level and the rest will depend on what he does with the opportunities he will get.
We cant keep farming him out to loans when Antony hasn't settled (jury will still be out), Sancho with his issues and Elanga being so ordinary. If you look at our season strictly you will see that its only Rashford who is doing well on the wings, he needs help, the team needs more productivity and he is talented so he deserves a shot and we need any contribution he can give.

How many successful loans have their been to lower table PL clubs in recent years (from top teams)? The pathway seems to be youth teams > Championship club loan > stake a claim in first team. Mason Mount, Reece James, Harvey Elliott, Tammy Abraham. Connor Gallagher had a very successful loan to PL club at Palace tbf. Still, it seems like a riskier move in general. Also think there's a danger of creating a situation where players just get farmed out year after year to less technical sides and their development inevitably suffers as a result. Really interesting to see what we do with Hannibal, Laird, and Diallo next season.
Can we now stop shitting on championship loans. I remember last year the crybabies out in full force when he almost went to Sheffield on loan. Would have done him a world of good than time spent with rangers. A competitive league and minutes is what kids like Amad, hannibal need when they have no real grown mens football minutes. If the championship can help mold the English Ronaldinho (grealish) and maddison I am sure our kids can learn something from that league too.

Great goal and looked a very good performance. If he keeps up his current form of the past bunch of games I would think we'd keep him around and have him on the bench for the start of next season. Certainly a positive due to whats going on with Sancho and if he cant turn it around at United, players like Garnacho and Amad will mean we're still covered.

Imagine if this kid hits the ground running after a loan spell with some more physicality because of gym work and game time.

I hope United continue to buy players from teams in Europe and take some gambles and send them out on Loan. Even take some punts on some South American talents.

Not if he is going to come and sit on the bench here rather than develop further. The boy has been starved 2 years worth of game time, so he needs to be playing competitive games.
I'm not saying he should be a starter, but if he can average 40-45 mins over 2 games, then I'd be happy if he stayed with United.

Very true, I think pretty much every loan, players are getting game time. Kovar and Galbraith are getting regular game time. I'm sure some others I'm forgetting.

very true.Left to me i'd have played him from day 1 in the senior team and allowed him to learn on the fly because the talent was clearly there to anyone who cared to look. But at least we didn't give up on him and sell him so this is fine too.
I also fully agree on taking gambles on young players from other continents and lesser-known leagues. That is the only way to save us from spending 100 million euros on every signing going forward. That's what Real Madrid, Barcelona and City have started doing and that is what the likes of Atletico and Benfica and Porto and Sporting have been doing for a while.
Every great player today was once a young player looking for an opportunity. The current state of the football transfer market is not sustainable and we must adapt to avoid going broke.
