CM? Maybe he'll become a Pedri / Bilva type player eventually and not a winger like we thought. Good in tight spaces, eye for a pass.
Will pass that feedback on to the Sunderland manager and try to make sure he checks with you before declaring he's happy with a player's performance from now on.Another brilliant game in which he produces nothing. Sounds like our boy.
I agree 100%. Doesn’t have the pace for a wide player but great with the ball at his feet and seemingly a fairly intelligent player.CM? Maybe he'll become a Pedri / Bilva type player eventually and not a winger like we thought. Good in tight spaces, eye for a pass.
Be fair, how on earth could Tony Mowbray ever hope to top mu4c_0le for knowledge of footballers ability. Will pass that feedback on to the Sunderland manager and try to make sure he checks with you before declaring he's happy with a player's performance from now on.

Amad FC? What was factually incorrect about the postWhat a terrible post. Did you watch the game? I guess the manager doesn't know what he is talking about.
Probably the fact you insinuated he produces nothing every game quite literally 1 game on from when he fecking scored.Amad FC? What was factually incorrect about the post
Yeah Bernardo is what he should look to emulate I feel. If he can add the workrate there is a player there for that kind of roleCM? Maybe he'll become a Pedri / Bilva type player eventually and not a winger like we thought. Good in tight spaces, eye for a pass.

What an embarrassment of a post. If you had eyes on the match to tell us about his performance then why don't you do something constructive and enlighten us instead of criticising for the sake of it?Another brilliant game in which he produces nothing. Sounds like our boy.
You're a fecking child.Amad FC? What was factually incorrect about the post

I don't think age is relevant but you are right in thinking there was no reason for such a pointlessly negative post. You insinuated that he didn't do much because he didn't get an assist or goal, signs of the younger generation who only go by stats I guess
The strange thing is Chong is looking very good in the Championship, I'd argue he is looking a lot better than Amad currently.I get the doom mongering around Amad but I like him a lot and feel he’ll make it. I loved what I saw of him from before we signed him and he impressed me when I saw the Vallecano match at OT in pre season. He worked his socks off that day and had real class, unlike Chong who I also saw that day who clearly looked bereft of the requisite quality.
It’s obvious he has had physical issues since coming to us - growing pains, injuries and struggle to adapt to the physicality of English football. He’s definitely bulked up and, contrary to what’s been said here, he’s very quick seeing him in person.
He needs games, confidence and more physical maturity but I genuinely believe that otherwise all the tools to be a top player are in place.
He’ll grow into this Sunderland role and I expect him to be Antony’s backup next season, getting a good share of minutes. ETH loves left footed right wingers and Antony is currently our only one so I see definite potential in Amad, in that role, to ultimately be a very useful squad player for us for several years.
Getting better.

I guess it shows that the best way to grow as a player is to get consistent game time, like Chong has.
Amad has two full games in a row which shows good promise in terms of development.

Also has way more first team experience, something that was touched upon in the Hannibal thread. Also, for all the shit he got from our fanbase, Chong wasn't some talentless no-mark, he was one of our best academy players in his time here so it's not exactly surprising to see him doing well now he's found his feet. I rate Amad as a more exciting talent but Chong was very good in his own right, just not good enough to be at United.Chong is also 3 years older than Amad.
Fantastic vision at the 00:20 mark.
You can see his vision and tehcnique are really good, he just needs to get more experience.Fantastic vision at the 00:20 mark.
Looks like all our loanees this season are finding their feet in their teams. Dare I say but Championship loans are the way forward for us.Excellent to know. Very early days Amad and a long way for him to prove himself at Sunderland let alone United but each such performance is a step in the right direction
Getting better.
Actually, I never disagreed with the manager's opinion, I simply meant that it sounds like another typical Amad performance where he does well but doesn't produce numbers. I guess the truth hurts people more than I expected. You insinuated that he didn't do much because he didn't get an assist or goal, signs of the younger generation who only go by stats I guess
That pass on 25 seconds is insane He’s looking much bigger and faster!
Looks very good in those highlights. Seems a lot faster, the way he takes the ball on the turn, some very good passes. You see that and think he might be tearing it up properly come the end of the season.
Chong was brilliant in the Championship last season also before getting injured, that's why Birmingham were keen to get him back. He's been played a lot in CM for them and perhaps that's where he belongs. The strange thing is Chong is looking very good in the Championship, I'd argue he is looking a lot better than Amad currently.

That cross-field pass (0.22) that was threaded between 4 Luton players....
He is technically levels above his team-mates. His passes are wasted.
Fantastic vision at the 00:20 mark.
