Amad Diallo | Rangers loan watch

Van Bronkhorst is a shit manager. Terrible subs. Predictably terrible tbf.

Happy van Bronckhorst lost, people would think he's some great coach if they won probably.

This Rangers team actually has a lot of good players, I dont like him as a coach at all.

I mean he got Rangers to the final of the Europa League and narrowly lost on pens to a vastly superior teams. Rangers have no business being here in terms of size and squad. Can't criticize him.

And Amad wasn't even subbed on, which surely says something more??

Not really as he’s been underused ever since that old firm where the whole team were equally as shite and he’s not their player as well so has probably paid the price. I think he’d have been a good option in extra time but it didn’t happen. Hopefully ETH gives him a chance in pre season.

Shit managers have overachieved before in cups, the Frankfurt run was better anyway.

A lot of you are looking way too much into it. He got subbed off in the Old Firm and the manager hasn't trusted him since.

Vastly superior? Rangers' bench was far stronger than Frankfurt's and yet he kept bringing on cloggers instead of someone who could create from the midfield or someone who could score up front. Eventually he brings them on to take pens and then one of them misses FFS. Almost an action replay of Southgate's feckwittery from the Euros final.

I watched that old firm match and the whole team was terrible.

Either way it's shite management. They believed in him enough to start a derby amd after a bad performance pretty much dropped completely.

Yeah, this happens all the time. Managers are reluctant to play young loan players, and first impressions mean a lot. Unfortunately for Amad, one of his first impressions (2nd match) was the Old Firm. Other players have way more leniency than a young kid who's there on loan.

The loans been a disaster, oh well move on. Would like to see him get a good run out in pre season and then decide whether to loan him out again or keep him in the squad.

So he went from rotting the bench for a team finishing 2nd in an elite league and losing the Europa final on penalties, to rotting the bench for a team finishing 2nd in a mediocre league and losing the Europa final on penalties. And some people on here have the nerve to call this a successful loan.

Didn't get a sniff. Bad loan but at least we know he is a long shot of making it at the very top level now.
This loan doesn't change anything. We're basically at square one again where we don't know how high his level is.

Looked great on the bench, never stopped cheering on the team. Let's see how good his Instagram post is later on and we will know if he's ready for our team

I don't think Amad made any appearances in rangers europa run, not sure if he gets a medal or not.

Also, GVB had a few iffy enough results, some narrow wins and a few draws around that same time. So he pretty much had to a pick team to get results and get him through a bit of a sticky patch. Amad just wasn't the type of player he would trust in those games where he needed results and he just fell further down the pecking order.

I'm sure if good enough ETH will give him a chance.
But there's no way he was good enough for Rangers this season, it just seemed to much for him to handle straight away.
He was never getting on the pitch tonight,

We know he's not Rangers level good at the moment. That's worrying for a player we invested a not insignificant fee on. We can only comment on the information at our disposal and this is the current status.

This is too simplistic thinking. He has shown often enough to be good enough for that level, the coach doesnt fancy him for different reasons.

He needs a loan at a lower level next season.
he's played fairly well in most of the matches he's actually been given a chance in?

The only black dot was the celtic match which others have stated the whole team was poor, not just him.

he is perfectly capable at this level, he just needs to be playing regularly.

He needs a coach with a vision on how to play a proactive/attacking brand of football.

Whether that coach is Erik ten Hag at his parent club or on loan at Arne Slot's Feyenoord, he needs a head coach with a clear defined way of playing the game.

The boy is 20, got some experience in a squad pushing for a title, got to a European final and in a Cup final. Who cares about GVB, it won't determine Amads future, only he and the decisions United make will play the part.
