Not the greatest quality up there is it.
Still that brings its own entertainment.

Tbf, Amad is probably used to his own team sabotaging itself in defence.

Our U23s are better than this shit.. he would have been better off playing there.

Disagree. Even if the standard at U23s is better (debatable) he needs to get used to playing against teams full of senior pros, with the pressure that comes from playing in front of full stadiums. This will be a great experience for him.

It's amazing to think that Celtic & Rangers fans think that they need to be automatically members of the EPL if they were to join.

Us crying out for a left footed winger/attacker but instead we persist with overloading the squad with out of form right footed wingers/attackers and never play Amad (who has looked great ever time he played)
3 mins into his debut, goal, for Rangers.
Manchester United ladies and gentlemen, the worst run club in the world.
Amad is nowhere near ready to start for United ffs.

Wednesday will a big one for Amad. Old Firm.

Yeah. I wasn't serious. They play in the Europa league.. I dont expect our reserves to be better..
And you are right about playing competitive games.. If he plays regularly, it will be a good move.

They have been shockingly bad so far though..

Very very windy in Scotland just now which cannot be discounted. Very hard to play.

It’s fair not to read too much into how well a winger plays against Ross County for a team who dominate possession. He’ll very likely look good, like most of rangers’ attackers do. Like, if he scores 10 goals in this loan spell, or 1 goal wouldn’t be hugely relevant. But in terms of the non-quantifiable elements he’ll learn way way more playing against a crap 30 year old full back who knows the tricks of the game than he would against a supremely talented 18 year old who will go on to have a far better career. I’m always surprised by people who think differently.

Perfect debut, a goal and Rangers losing :p
Goal, sure. But apart from the tap-in Diallo has not played that well. Admittedly 5 minutes ago he showed some amazing footwork while engaging defenders in and around the Ross County box.

In crap conditions he’s showing a high level of technical ability

He's actually a joke. Did you see that turn

Will forever stand by that he should be ahead of Elanga

Not a competition between them to be fair. Amad, Elanga, Hannibal are all on the verge but Elanga raises the effort and pace of our team and that's what Ralf needed right now.

Hoping all 3 get decent game time next season rotating in.

I’m really conflicted about this. I should relish Rangers being shite. It’s my duty as a Dubliner. But them being shit is bad for Amad and makes Gerrard look good. Nightmare.

That Tavernier has been the worst player on the pitch, closely followed by Itten.

He's too good for this level. If it was down to me, he would be getting games at United. I genuinely think he is that good. If he was at Arsenal, he would be playing regularly.

I think that the only reason Elanga got a chance to play is because of his work ethics and pressing, That's why I think Ralf loves him so much.

Don't get me wrong he also has the talent but when you mix it with a hard working player its a very desirable traits for a manager.

Looks like he’s put on a bit of muscle too since he joined, still think he’ll be an amazing player for us if he’s given the chance!

He looks like he's tired and not used to the rhythm of the game. I hope it will change because you see him walk at times and even not participate in Ranger's attacks sometimes

He looks a lot nippier than I last remembered, maybe he will have the speed needed for prem life after all. His strength doesn't seem too bad, still needs to be developed but he's holding his own. Veryyyy good technically, his first touch is absolute quality and so is his dribbling. He seems to have good confidence as well. Now just needs to try and force himself into the game more. Demand the ball etc. Its going to be fun to see him in this loan.

Seen a few of these games by Rangers this season. This was a team that only conceded 13 goals in the league in the whole of last season.

Bassey is a left back playing centre back, Mcgregors age seem to be catching up with him, and the team in general seem less focused and more prone to errors.

Missing Morelos up front, Itten has been poor Roofe needs to come on shortly.

Also, like I said start of the game. These tight grounds, in January, with horrible conditions aren't great for playing good football in. Its a different type of challenge for a footballer and all good education.

My point was more about the fact that he's left footed, we don't have many but we're overloaded with right footed attackers.
You won't find many top teams in world football that don't have a nice balance of left footed and right footed attackers, especially in the modern era where left footed players play on the right, and vice versa, as it opens up the pitch.
In typical Utd style though, we just totally ignore this blindingly obvious imbalance.

Plus, anytime Amad has played he has looked good anyway, and certainly not any worse than some of the performances that others who start/started ahead of him were putting in, so who's to say he couldn't have made an impact.

I think it's a good move too because he'll be playing against packed defences every week and for a team with all the pressure on it to find a way through.

Think it’s an issue of the state and style of our team. I don’t agree with this notion that Amad is a million miles away from playing PL football, but I do agree that he isn’t quite ready to shine playing for US. We are not the best footballing side.

People saying Elanga is so much more ready, I think that is because we play this basic football of hard running. Amad is not smaller than say Foden at 19 who was getting games for City, and I am certain he would be involved if he were a City player now. As would VDB, rather than this message of ‘he lacks physicality to play in the PL’ that we seem to be putting out.

We are simply not a great footballing side, so the more technical players will need to have good physical attributes to add value here. Sancho has shown a similar ‘lack of physicality to play in the PL’, for example. I also suspect that he’d do better at City, so far. He’ll improve at United, but only when he either gets stronger or we become more fluid with the ball.
