From my point of view he looks a hell of a lot better than Dan James.
Should be in the first team squad soon.

He’s class. I always say you only need to see one touch at this level. He’s going to be a player.

Such a confident player, great to see.

Outmuscled the Liverpool players on more than one occasion.
Yeah he knows how to use his size to his advantage. Doesn’t matter how small you are if you can consistently get your body between the ball and the defender and they have to foul you to get to the ball.

So sure he's going to be a success, he needs to take this arrogance with him to senior level.
I really hope so, this swagger and confidence will separate him from the rest. Hope it doesn't get coached out of him.

Only watched 30 minutes in the second half but he seems a very heads-up player. He doesn't seem to get tunnel-vision when taking on a player, good awareness of what's around him.

His choice and weight of pass is great.

In the few Atalanta appearances I saw, that seemed to be his biggest asset. He plays with his head up, seems very composed and picks the right pass. I could see him linking up well with other intelligent footballers, like Cavani.

Atalanta*. And he played like 60 total minutes for their first team sooooooo.

Looked very good here. Bags of talent clearly. Physically I think its just about developing and getting used to the professional level. His acceleration/ability/balance is excellent as is his tight dribbling when moving with the ball. Always in control of his body and the ball. Definitely looked a level above, which is great to see in his debut against Liverpool for the youth side.

Reminds me a lot of Sterling. Quick, close control, happy to do the defensive side of the game and quite strong for someone so small. He needs to me making the bench pretty soon. He's not going to learn anything by smashing up u23 players.

My bad, Atalanta.

True, there's never a guarantee with young players but, from the small sample size, he looks like an intelligent footballer. Hopefully he can adapt to the new country and style of football and get some first team minutes before the end of the season.

Playing him in u-23 is a waste of time, he is so far ahead at that level. We need him in our first team, if we still want to challenge for the title.

Smooth as a buttered ass when on the ball. Ball glued to feet and head up looking for options. Great weight of pass almost every time. Felt like he didn`t really got out of second gear. Can`t wait for his first cameo with the first team.

Interesting simile

Stature or sterling with the play style of Salah. One thing for sure is he’s going to be a fantastic little player if we learn to trust him. He’s just as happy coming to feet as he is making a run in behind.

The one thing that stood out the most was his intelligence, made the better pass when the option was available, confident but not greedy.

His pressing was something I didn’t expect, he timed it really well and with his agility makes it very difficult for the defender to escape. With him bruno and Cavani we have 3 great pressers up top.

Absolutely loved the way he ran straight for the ball when the 2nd penalty came and demanded it. then the composure to slot it away with a panenka - that was a real “I’m here to take over” performance.

I Refuse to get excited with this guy until I see him doing this versus Men.

He's looked a class apart at youth level but we haven't seen him do it where it really counts yet.

In the brief amount of games he did have in the Atalanta first team he didn't do a great deal did he?

Sure the Manchester Evening News team is nowhere near good enough to test him

He’s scored for them in one of his cameos and he looked really lively in the CL when he came on. He should be on our bench getting the rotation minutes

Did Ronaldo or Rooney play reserves games when they came here?

I don't think so. I might have been too young to care about U21s back then, but I don't think it was as "important" as it is now. Feel as if academies have grown so much in this day of age that there is more impetus on having more youth teams.

If that's a rhetorical question then you know the answer.

Rooney was bullying PL defenders at 16! Ronaldo took the piss out our defenders in pre-season plus he was a senior player for SL.

This kid has had nothing of the same experience but the talent is there to see. Let's keep our feet and his on the ground for a bit

Rooney started about two days after he signed against Fenerbache, scored a hat trick. Ronaldo was on the bench for a while before he got brought on against Bolton? For about 12 minutes. Probably trained with the first team though.

He scored 4 minutes into his debut. He's looked just as capable in his cameos for Atalanta first team.
