Damn Schulz was my pick. Promised myself I won't research for this draft
Depends on the point of viewShouldn't have corrected you Too bad there are no sheep for invalid picks
The list is and shall remain unedited for the duration of the draft.Depends on the point of view
Aldo could just have edited the list and let me play him
Yeah it was in gest. The list is and shall remain unedited for the duration of the draft.
I don't know. I feel like I'm biased towards Liverpool bunch of the 80's but I feel that they lack something to be considered equals to the very top players of their generation (apart from Souness maybe). Despite their European success. It's really a paradox of Liverpool in my eyes - despite them being more successful team on the continent I feel that we had at least 4 players that were better than anyone they ever produced (Charlton, Best, Law and Ronaldo) and a few that arguably were as good as anyone they had (Keane, Schmeichel, Ferdinand, Scholes). I'll try to keep an open mind about this although, I hope that you'll do a great job selling them
This will not end well. With Souness and Dalglish becoming the parallel to our own Keane and Cantona
I'd refrain from the bolded comparison personally. Souness/Keane ok, but the other one will generate a lot of "joy" as one can imagine.Tbh, I was trying to steer this away from United comparisons as that is one way to dig my own grave. But then again it'd be very hard to avoid the parallels. The more I read, the more I find myself comparing Shankly to Busby and so. The team overall had a very good backline. With Souness and Dalglish becoming the parallel to our own Keane and Cantona, they were an inspirational team. Quite difficult to do without naing unpicked players, let me take a shot after the drafting is done.
They're dull as feck, though. Utterly lack charm, or even flair, compared to many other serial winning sides. That's part of it.
But @Gio is obviously right: They're generally underrated on here. Would be very, very strange if they weren't.

I know But that's the most obvious comparison...straddling a fine line here.
In fact the first hit on my search is a caf thread, which I've just bumped. Let's see how the dominoes fall now
More seriously, would you compare Rush with Cristiano Ronaldo or Law?
Has the draw already taken place?@Edgar Allan Pillow is ready for the battle. Oh, wait: who is your opponent?
@Joga Bonito he's all yours. Why not? Law is comparable...but then he is a better player too. I'd put Rush a level below Law.
Nah, it will happen at the end of Round 11.Has the draw already taken place?

You are supposed to be an impartial draft mod, not a shit stirrer ffs!

Keegan, Souness and Hansen are blockedNot an accident that there is probably no former Liverpool players blocked.
Thank you. Finally.Nándor Hidegkuti
Sweet!Tommy Taylor
Finally, absolutely ridiculous that he lasted that long. Could have easily been a first round pick, what a steal he is at this stage.Nándor Hidegkuti
Aye, I was really interested in picking him and playing him as false 9, but we decided to go in a different direction. Finally, absolutely ridiculous that he lasted that long. Could have easily been a first round pick, what a steal he is at this stage.
Didn't you do that in the World Cup draft? This sounds so familiar.Aye, I was really interested in picking him and playing him as false 9, but we decided to go in a different direction.
