Irwin probably did go a few rounds early but he is rated very highly in drafts on here, so isn't a bad pick.

Very surprised Carrick went so early, however. If this wasn't a United forum, I don't think we'd see him until the middle rounds at least.

Full backs and wingers could make or break him, not much depth there to be messing around with.

I'll struggle to hate a team with Modric and Bergkamp in it. Especially now Cole and Suarez are gone!!!

:lol: I know the feeling. The people who go missing is what causes so much inconvenience and shorter deadlines would probably be positive in that aspect. As if someone goes missing it usually means that everybody after that are pretty fecked and have to be way more active than they otherwise would.

Easy to go to sleep and then miss a pick because when the person comes back you'll see 3-4 picks in half an hour and suddenly it is you.

Likewise, Irwin's ability to play on both flanks and his more all-rounded game, meaning more tactical malleability, could prove invaluable. That being said, Cole is probably the best defensive FB in the PL era though (who is also capable of a decent supporting job offensively).

Irwin's ability to be quality at left or right back is really handy at this stage
 
I was waiting for Lampard to go but I definitely didn't expect it to be the team with Scholes that picked him up. Will be interesting to see which era of Scholes you opt for.
