I love Carrick but that's a little early for me to say the least. Lots of brilliant midfielders still available and not tying up a United player either.
I reckon Carrick would have lasted until Sjor's next turn, and since Sjor picked him so early, I think it is because he fits a specific role. Or I could be thinking too much
there were only 2(maybe i missed someone) left for the role i need and out of the two i rate Carrick higher + i really like him. It was to big of a risk to let it go for the whole 2 rounds as i think both would be picked.

Actually no I don't. Fits perfectly in both a midfield two and trio, was a bloody genius in his time at the PL and one of the best creative midfielders in these years. Plus, he's from outside the top 4.

Wasnt sure about it either as there are several good midfielders our there but non of them is outaide top 4 and can single handedly crush a midfield like Spain's when in form, and didn't want to take the risk he won't come back

Seeing some of the picks already, there's a few players who I can't believe haven't gone...
Irwin??? Already??? Wow!! He's surely a 4th or 5th round pick? Great player but seriously some MUCH bigger fish out there.
I can think of three easily. Considered all three but I have my priorities.
In a draft which is way short of fullbacks, I couldn't gamble leaving him for late.
Irwin in this drafts context is good.
I'm just more talking about a crop of players picked in positions where I can think of players on a completely different level to them!
I like Irwin but theres others with or above him and saving you a United pick, shocked he's gone already.
Uhh did not think I'll have to make this decision. On one hand cb pool is probably deepest in the draft, on the other hand it's probably the most proven partnership. I am all kind of confused, will need some time to think about it.
Maybe, but I didn't want to get into a scattergun at the end where there is harakiri regarding the fullback picks. The rest of the positions still have a lot of players, but fullbacks are limited and Irwin is as good as any pick in the 2nd round.
Gio's midfield is looking brilliant. There's a lot of great players left that he could choose from to complete that midfield too.
