There are very few players who have played for two countries and If I recall correctly, most of them were before ODI's started. So it shouldn't be a problem.
How long is the time allowed per pick? 12 hours? We need that with different timezones.
8 is the norm.

8 Seems fair. There won't be any sheep anyways. If you miss your deadline by any chance, you can probably make your pick later as mentioned in the OP.

No I won't need that many hours for pick but say @Skizzo is picking after me and I pick during his night time, he gets very little time after my pick. Same goes for you almost.
8 hrs is enough. You can always leave your picks with someone in a snake draft.

In cases, mod can permit a couple of hours extra time, but let' keep the norm to 8 hrs.
