All time ODI Draft

Looks like the lower order is slow as feck and highly inconsistent. Top order way better and much faster.

What about reinforcements? Can we exceed two then? Of if we had fulfilled the quota now, we cannot pick same nation all through the end of the draft?
A team can't have more than 2 players of the same nationality at any stage. If you want Sachin, you would have to let go of jadeja with a heavy heart :p
Top of my "most hated India player" list
Haha. I don't hate the guy but he's the definition of bang average.

There was a period when Jadeja was very useful in ODIs and was quite popular too among fans. India was a bang average team then in ODIs though so it isn't saying much. Many of you were probably too young then :p

Always thought the other guy was better.

Edit: Alteast I liked him more.

Jadeja was quite an useful player. He'll not be the one you depend to win a clutch match (though he has that talent) , but quite useful to boost run rate at tail end of the match. You can depend on him for a quick 30 runs. On his peak he is capable of more.

Yup, he was popular. Chocolate boy looks + top fielder which was an absolute rarity back then in the team. Had more female fans than guys though.

Those paddle sweeps for sizes :drool:

So it's a pick one drop one? Or we drop only if we had reached the quota? Can you make the whole process clear please?
Your Squad of 12 can have a maximum of 2 players from the same nation at any stage in the draft. So if you reach the next round and want to upgrade one of your picks, you have to sacrifice one player and has to be replaced with a player of the same nationality or pick a player where you haven't reached the 2 player quota yet. For example, in the QF, you drop Jadeja, then you have to replace him with an Indian or maybe a country where you have only 1 or no representatives (like picking Streak or Flower).
This is what I understood thus far.

@Skills needs to confirm.

Skills would decide the process for the draft specifically but yeah, it's normally pick x drop x and added with the nationality clause, it means you'd need to replace accordingly. That's why we went for Yuvi in the end even though Aldo was a bit hesitant. Unless we got Kohli or Dhoni later on, no one was going to be worth passing up on him.

My best memory of Jadeja is him using a ladder to go to the house in the next building to steal their bournvita after his mom threatens him 'no milk no cricket'

I think that's what confused EAP, usually in the football drafts, with restrictions like nationalities, you can have more than 2 in the overall squad, but only 2 would be eligible to play at a time. So this is a bit different in that regards.

This idea of having AM's is working well then. Moving at a snail pace.
