Think this one looks good, along open RR, as otherwise as Gio mentioned it might become a bit dull in the later rounds.--------------------
Would be my preference. Not a block list, but only one pick per drafter.
Possible additions: Kohler (#1 classic stopper by far) and Cafu (#1 attacking RB by far).
Hadn't thought about it, but no.btw are picked managers blocked as players?
Perma-blocked:
Pele, Maradona, Messi
One pick for each poster from this list:
Beckenbauer, Baresi, Figueroa, Nesta, Maldini, Facchetti
Rijkaard, Matthäus
Di Stefano, Platini
Cruyff, Puskas, Zico, Gullit, Best, Garrincha, C. Ronaldo, Eusebio
Fenomeno, Müller, Van Basten
I cut the discussion short, more feedback than I expected already. Thanks everyone, it helped, still learning the craft.
Final list:
Bit of a pity about Messi, but most of his tasks can be filled by other players on a lesser level.
No, manager choice is permanent. If I want to switch to a new (available) manager (with same players ofc) in reinforcement, is it permitted?
Looks like we're going to have to put @King Kendrick in. I doubt that DVG is coming back.
Cheers, have PM'd him.Looks like we're going to have to put @King Kendrick in. I doubt that DVG is coming back.
What's going on? I thought we would have managers assigned already.
I am personally against any block list since it will then heavily favour who get top picks in a snake draft. No matter how many "GOAT"s you block, you won't be able to find the right balance to ensure some managers still don't get to pick calibre of players similar to that level. For example - 5 managers top of snake draft will get to pick 5 players from the players who are not blocked from list above.
Original submission deadline was later today. Even with the extension, manager picks & draft order will be revealed shortly after 8pm UK time. Or earlier, if everyone confirms their manager picks. What's going on? I thought we would have managers assigned already.
It evens out quite a bit, as the snake reverses after round 1: Top 5 will get first picks from the list above (not a block list), bottom 5 will get first picks of everyone else (and a double pick at that).I am personally against any block list since it will then heavily favour who get top picks in a snake draft. Middle is normally the worst place to be, but generally being at the top end helps.Someone(invi ) really needs to check this up because every draft this is mentioned and i always think its bs, in fact if i could chose id rather be near the end rather then on the top of the table.
Get this show on the road.
Yeah, it's worth looking into. I imagine being at either end is best because, for example at the top you get first dibs of the whole pool before the first round and again before the semi-final. Also depends on the pool. More restricted pools may only have 2-3 superstars where getting the 16th and 17th best players does not compensate like it does in an all-time pool.Someone(invi ) really needs to check this up because every draft this is mentioned and i always think its bs, in fact if i could chose id rather be near the end rather then on the top of the table.
It's not valid for all drafts obviously and depends on the pool. But in all time pool those at the top always have a bit of an advantage. Didn't we just have a draft where only @Pat_Mustard made it through the first round from the bottom 8?Someone(invi ) really needs to check this up because every draft this is mentioned and i always think its bs, in fact if i could chose id rather be near the end rather then on the top of the table.
Raees did too and he was last. But the first team in draft order won the whole thing so not the best time to bring up this point. It's not valid for all drafts obviously and depends on the pool. nah, I mean scrappy's draft(I think), not the one that just finished.Raees did too and he was last. But the first team in draft order won the whole thing so not the best time to bring up this point.

Yep.Can you add the block list to OP?
