@crappycraperson 5 mill bid made.

Wasn't with any bad intentions mate, just wanted to see my bid run out before I got involved with another bid. Get the hurts though! I was waiting nervously for my bid to run out updating way too much. Now I am off to bed.

@crappycraperson: I reckon it might be a good idea to consider some sort of ultimate deadline for these auction rounds - not that I am in a hurry, but generally I think it's probably wise, not least with people having very different habits when it comes to how often they pop round, etc.

Alternatively, you could go with more of a "poker format" for the bidding itself, i.e. a format where there's an ever increasing minimum raise involved:

Current bid: 10m

New bid: 15m

Next bid: Minimum raise 10m

New bid: 25m

Next bid: Minimum raise: 15m

New bid: 40m

...and so forth.

What's the rules on withdrawing a bid - just curious?

In my opinion you should be allowed to withdraw a bid when there's been some sort of legitimate misunderstanding - otherwise not.

Yeah but my query was in relation to a tactical withdrawal- so that is clearly forbidden.

Dalglish is the steal of the round right now along with Charles. The downside with Dalglish is he forces you to go 4-4-1-1 or some variation of that.

True. But seriously someone bid for Charles - its killing me.

We ll keep it as it is for now. Might start rolling rounds later on if needed

Too late I think? He's ours as of 1.55am.

Handy player, the aul gentle giant. Nothing like that in modern football, really. You get players, big lads, who move from up front to the back at a young age - and some rare ones who can, sort of, play both roles as senior players. But at the top level? Not a chance.

Imagine, say, Drogba - a powerhouse of a forward - only he's actually a bloody good defender on top of that, capable of playing CB at the highest level.

Aye, that level of versatility is incredible. Wherever we play him, he won't be losing many headers, that's for sure. The esteem in which he's still held by Juventus supporters says it all about his ability.
