All ticket/travel information thread - 2009/10: Touting will not be tolerated

United Ticket Agency have said to me 120 for 2 and he will meet me in hotel near ground for brum game. Should I go ahead with it? He said he has 10 altogether. Does anyone know anybody anyone else that they have used atleast before I say yes to him.

Cant help you as I have never used a tout for tickets in my life.
Out of interest, do you have to pay him now or just pay when you get the ticket?

He said pay him when I meet him... But as never used him not too sure if I should go ahead with him. Plus he said he got 10 which I was shocked games tomorrow and you still got 10

Well I guess you dont have much risk if you pay when you get the ticket.
I think touts probably sell most tickets on the day - more likely to get a better price that way so not that suprising.

cool i ts just with the weather and stuff i dont want to go down and he does not turn up or ups the price or something. thats why looking for someone who might dealt with him, or knows someone the y have used before.

If you go through with it make sure after the match you contact the club with the details of the tickets you used. Touting cnuts. And remember that's it's not a criminal offence to buy tickets from a tout, but it is to sell them.

We tried setting up a meet with them lot of the ticket agency and doing a runner.

Ended up just using fake notes. They feckin' surrounded us. Was like getting sorted via the Mafia.

Haha, they were all in a taxi mate when we tried to scam them. It was for Villa away last year, just outside new street.

They knew we were up to something so all hopped out.

I'm sure just a lone bloke like yourself would deal with 'em no problem.

Although, i'd never advocate buying off touts.

I am heading up to milan for the first leg with a mate. Now i know that away tickets, especially for these big games , are extremely difficult to get, but what are the chances of getting 2? Id like to know coz ive seenvarious people say that we never sell out for Milan away. Is this true? Would there be any chance, or any way i would be able to get my hands on 2 tickets in the away end? I would be up for meeting who has 2 to sell in Milan on the day no problem! Many thanks in advance

Think you answered your on question there mate!

Would have to get lucky on the day or pay a tout, probably.

Ralphie has said that away tickets shouldn't be too hard to come by. I don't think we sold our full allocation for the last two trips to Milan anyway.

 Yeah. But like elvis said apparantly not all tickets will be sold. Just wanted to see what the likelihood of getting 2 off somebody off here on the day of the game in Milan is. Just asking like. :)

So are you saying they would be available on general sale throught the club? Surely not?

I suggest you refrain from talking about things you don't know.

In the current climate, I would say Milan tickets will be easy to come by. We haven't sold our allocation in the last two trips (Milan and Inter) and there have been returns as well as spares even on the day. All the reds I've known that have made the trip ticketless have had no problem getting in.

If you are willing to go, the tickets should be your final concern. Don't even consider paying over the odds as there most definitly will be plenty spares in Milan if you won't be able to have something sorted by then anyway.

They won't go on general sale, or on sale to OneUnited members, I'm 99% sure that you have to have an ST for to get away tickets for any game.

The 1% is usually a bitch :p For Euro aways you just need an OU membership and to have registered with the Travel Club.

So are you saying they would be available on general sale throught the club? Surely not?

Definitly not GS. Many will apply to get the credits so they can use them later on should we progress, but many won't make the trip and there will be returns and spares.

Thank you very much for your help.
The thing is I have found extremely cheap flights so would love to go. I will even go up ticketless I think, but would obviously much rather having something sorted out by then. I cancelled my one united membership a couple of years ago so Im just gonna have to get a spare by the looks of it if Im lucky

We usually gather at the Duomo square around noon on the day of the game. There'll be plenty of lads offering spares for face value then. You might be able to get two before anyway. I don't think many will go this year, but I have to say everytime I've been, it has been a cracking trip regardless of the results we've had.

From swooosh in the newbies:

"Can you post this on the tickets thread on the mains for me please?

On behalf of a mate, one spare available for Burnley, and possibly Hull and Pompey as well. Sat in WT2 or NT1, pm me if your interested."

Contact Swooosh if you are interested.

Manchester to London 20th January 12:35 £7.50ea x 2

They may go on GS. But you have to be in the MU European Travel Club (free to join).

A lot aren't bothering to apply if they're not going as you only get the credit if you can prove you attended.

2 seats together (East Stand E234) available for Hull City - this is now rearranged for Saturday 23rd Jan @ 3pm so not on TV

I cant make it but someone else who is attending the match has my tickets so can meet on the day to exchange cash/tickets if needs be.

PM me if interested

Well if you don't return the ticket to the TO that means you attended I should think...

Never have I heard of an away especially an Euro away go on general sale. Not just for United. Demand for one and security for another will most probably see that never happens.

No it doesn't. You have to show the club your boarding pass if you want the credit for the game.

Well our last two trips to Milan ended up on General Sale to ST and OU members for a start. Besiktas this season. Oh, and Moscow this season too.

I didn't know about this and have never applied it myself. Last year I was successful for all games, including Celtic and Aalborg. There is some kind of loyalty pot scheme applied there surely?

What the hell are you on about. Four of my mates got chubbed in the ballot for the game against Inter. Two of them got tickets two weeks before the game as there were few returns which were snapped up pretty quickly. They were given only to members that had applied in the ballot. The other two were sorted with spares in Milan.

ST holders and OU members is not general sale.

Yes, but the loyalty pot restarts every season. This season you only get the credit if you submit "evidence" that you went to the game in question.

There were loads of returns for Inter. I know of people who picked up returns the week before the game who had no credits.

Maybe I didn't phrase that right then. Yes, you'll have to be a member to get one for Milan, but I can't see them selling out, especially with the new loyalty system.

I don't know of this new loyalty system. Any information or pointing in the direction of where I can find out more about it is appreciated.

Go onto manutd.com and through the ticketing website. There should be a link to European away matches which explains how to join the new European Travel Club. Not sure if there's any imformation on the credit system but for the group games this season you only get the credit if you can prove you were there (so I had to go down the TO with my travel documents for Besiktas and Germany). I assume they'll do the same for Milan, but no guarantees if course.

I registered for the Travel Club before Besiktas but didn't read any of this mumbo jumbo. I'll have a look around.

Cheers.

2 Tickets for Milan Away desperately needed! Will be forever grateful to anyone who would help! Will be in Milan from a couple of days before so willing to meet there aswell .
Thanks
