Interviewer : But does there have to be a new contract or something like that?
CR : I dont know nothing..Nobody speak with me...eh...We are going to see next two weeks, OK?

Interviewer: But when you say, "I will make a decision"....i mean...that means that?

Now, listen caftards. This, being a direct interview, tells the whole story. Out of ronaldo's mouth himself. The rest, ie, journalist made up stories, 3rd/4th party news, his mother, is all bullshit. Its just to sell papers.

"I want to stay"...WTF? He's said he wants to say three fecking times in the same question!! Insistently!

"I dont know nothing..Nobody speak with me"....Clearly, there is going to be a new contract, with improved terms. His advisors/agents are clearing this up with United, and Ronnie himself doesn't know what stage their at. They should conclude negotiations with united within a couple of days, or so thinks Ronnie. Perhaps things didn't go as planned. Maybe stumbling blocks like image rights or something. Ronnie gets news of it, changes his tone to "we will know in a few weeks".

All I'll say on the matter is that if some of the quotes are true then Fergie won't stay patient for much longer. He'll accept any bid other than Real Madrid's even if it's considerably less.

I doubt the validity of a lot of the quotes though as the appear to becoming from second hand sources and/or translated across languages, sometimes up to three Portuguese - Spanish - English.

Whatever happens I'm not really bothered. Sir Alex Ferguson is the lowest common denominator at Manchester United and he has been for 20+ years. Everyone else is just peripheral and we can go on without them.

I very much doubt that United are loving this. Stirring up Fergie and CQ so they come out with mind blowing insults about Real don't give the appearance of happy men. If those two have come out with statements like "Real can go to Hell", "Glazers have balls" and "we'll sit him in the stands" then there's some fire to the smoke.

Has anybody been listening to BBC Fivelive in the last hour or so?

I wasn't properly listening but i think they featured an interview with this journalist who spoke to Ronaldo.

His assessment was that the ball is now squarly Real's court, Ronaldo has called their bluff. If they turn out to be nothing but a load of hot air then he wouldn't be surprised to see him at OT this August.

yeah but it sounds like he Can leave next summer......I'm thinking this is based on the current contract...because he can buy out his contract before two years...so the only way to prevent this is to have him sign an improved and longer contract....

That said, it's totally within the control of United (i.e. SAF) to decide whether to sell him or keep him (cos of essence of contract law). The player's wish is only a wish! In short, we United really have control over the matter! Whether we want to keep him or not is a matter for us, not him!

Just been listening to 5live. They are still running with the Ronaldo 'quotes' to the Brazilian paper about him wanting to leave. :rolleyes:

They also played a clip of the journalist who spoke to Ronnie, he basically said that the balls in Real's court now. If the money is right, for both United and Ronaldo, then he'll move. Or something along those lines.
