ALL Ronaldo's future/comments/speculation

What angers me the most is that he hasn't shown the fans who sing thier heart out everysecond the respect they deserve.

He has the responsiblity of being honest and to say comments that will just spin the press around and get him a lot of media attention is a little pathetic whether or not he was tricked into it.

I've never heard one BS story about Rooney or Tevez, credit to them for keeping thier heads in the right place.

Personally, I'm past the point of caring. If Madrid get him, they'll either play him on the wing, or up front, neither of which, are his optimum position.
Plus, with their revolving door policy of snapping up the latest 'it' player, I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves them within a few years of joining...

I fear when Ronaldo looks back on his career, he'll have regrets, when he could have had it all twice or even thrice over if he had stayed till he was atleast 28...

we have the upper hand...he still got 4 years on his contract

There's a lurking sense of that in my mind too.

Ronaldo Announcement

What could he possibly announce in three weeks that he can't come out and say now?

Skysports.com

Cristiano Ronaldo has again refused to give a definitive answer over his future at Manchester United.

The Portugal international has been linked with a summer move away from Old Trafford, with Real Madrid reportedly lining up a record-breaking offer.

Ronaldo, who struck a remarkable total of 42 goals in the 2007/08 term, is remaining coy over his plans, explaining that an announcement will be made in 'two or three weeks'.

"What the press speculate about goes over my head," Ronaldo said. "I have already been used to it for the past two years.

"I am calm. Everything's clear and I will repeat it once again so that the whole world understands, there will be news in two or three weeks.

"At the moment I am here, I am going to give my best and do the best possible in the European Championship."

The fans have given Ronaldo nothing but respect for a long time now, he is worshipped. He shouldn't be using the press and raising doubts about his future in the minds of the fans just to earn a few extra quid, it should all be done in private.

A lot of you are talking about him not giving supporters respect ...how about everyone giving him some respect ...listen to you lot ....he must be in the middle of contract negotiations and don't want to seem too eager in order to get the most out of the Glazers. He had the perfect reason to leave after the world cup and he didn't ..He had the best season of his life and he is happy...why in god's name would he want leave.

Then why the feck does he just not come out and say he wants to stay and finishing it there instead of saying "I want to go Spain" or "I don't know"

I was so happy when he said in the interview right after we won the CL 'no no I'm staying', but then the day after he goes back to his usual 'I want to stay, dream of Spain, don't know the future'

He just wants a new contract, he obviously wants to stay for a few more years before he goes off to Spain.

All he has to do is say hes not going anywhere, Real and Barca included, none of this can't predict the future and not making any promises nonsense, or talking about his 'dreams' of playing in Spain, he knows exactly what sort of reaction it will get in the media, he isn't stupid, he brings all this speculation on himself.

we should have a "no transfer policy" with real madrid no matter how much they offer.

We should of sorted this shit out ages ago. Fecking annoying. We just won the CL and PL and back pages are only constantly filled with Ronaldo transfer bollocks.

Yup

To be fair to him though he is the most wanted player in the world at the moment, a lot of players would act the same I would imagine

A lot, but not all. To be honest, this is the type of things that separate the likes of Giggs and Scholes, to the likes of Beckham and Ronaldo.

And, I hate to say it, but I think Ronaldo has reached the point that Beckham did, when he left....

I'm not sure

I think Beckham got to the point where he was replaceable and you didn't miss him much. Whereas could you afford to lose Ronaldo's goals? I can't think of a player who could come in and replace Ronaldo. I think you would have to replace him with two more quality players

It's obvious though he isn't in the class of Giggs et all but to honest that was obvious with his diving etc.

This is true.

But what I mean, is that Beckham got to the stage where he thought he was bigger than the club, and I think Ronaldo is getting to the same stage, if he's not there already.

Aye, it's fecking terrible, innit? I bet you have trouble sleeping with all the worry, eh?

If Madrid want to give us £100 million, then I'm sure we'll snap their fecking hand off. And rightly so, an all.

I think anyone would. We can be loyal supporters, but he's a professional footballer, he doesn't have an obligation.

If I were the best at anything in the world I'd go to the best place in the world for me that paid the best. Hopefully Ronaldo will realise that United is a better club to be a part of than Real. We probably won't offer as high a wage, but we're certainly a better club to be at.

Your dreaming if you think you'll get 100 million, it's clear if he wants to leave and Manchester United don't want to sell he'll drag his heels to get his move.

I think that any bid in the region of 45+ million should be considered

Then again a few pep talks, a new contract with a bigger salary and all this shit will probably go away

This is true.

Yes but Beckham was under SAF's thumb, as long as Beckham was irreplaceable he was fine, by the time he started to get too big for the club he was replaceable. God man management or coincedance I don't know but I wouldn't bet on it being the latter.

Agreed but he has his bias with Spain, thats obviously a major influence on him
