Okay, so with the latest developments, and the now clear indication that Ronaldo wants to go, I have two questions for everyone. I'll set up a little template for you, so that copying and pasting is easy.

1. What would you like to see happen with Ronaldo?

2. What do you think will happen with Ronaldo?

He ain't going anywhere.

1. I would like to see him stay. For principle, to raise our standing in the eyes of otherss, and as a preventative measure. Furthermore, when he eventually departs i feel it should be us who give the green light to begin the saga and not some Ronaldo/Mendes/Calderon triangle. And there's the elections next year, they'll still be interested.

We can win trophies even with a pissed off Ronaldo IMO, he'll learn to be pragmatic and accept the realities of his position for a little while at least..

Our rivals may stand with us in opposing Blatter and Platinit and Calderon today, but come the season they'd also be delighted not to see him in our squad.

In short, on our terms or not at all and this certainly cannot be considered the former.

2. I...*furrowed brow* don't know. If Sir Alex is truly given a free hand and it is his call, Ronaldo will be wih us for one more season.

good post...i agree with that.

want the madrid cnuts to realize that there classless tricks wont work with united as a result of which next time they will go through the proper channels if they are interested in one of our players.

Yesterday the bullshitometer was almost off the scale

His personal antics take away nothing from his status as worlds best player atm

Picturing him doing that in a white Madrid shirt just ain't right i tell ya.

Clearly looks far more kick ass in Man Utd red. ;)

Naivity at its best!

Oh poooooor Ronaldo...so much pressure from Calderon and the fans

And who exactly is Calderon? What pressure are you assuming (because it is an assumption, not a fact) is being put on Ronaldo by a President for whom he isn't even under the employment of? You honestly don't think Blatter/Platini/Calderon will put a price on Ronnie's head if he doesn't play along with their little game, do you? You don't think Ronnie can put them in their place?

Basically, Ronnie's been given enough chances to say 'I'd love to play for Madrid but if it doesn't happen, Manchester it is'. Instead we've got moans about 'slavery' and 'dreams' and knowing what he wants...

And erm, mate....Barry has yet to put in a transfer request to Liverpool as well, so we can assume that he wants to stay at Villa...right? There must be a reason for that...right? I mean why publicly hint that you want to move, if your intention is to stay...right? The pressure from Benitez must be too much!

I believe he will stay, because we've said so, not because he wants to. The whole world is watching, and I doubt we'll buckle under pressure, be that from Ronnie, Calderon, or Blatter. I have no doubt also that once it sinks in to Ronnie that we are not going to budge (unless he hands in a transfer request) he'll come back and start talking about being misinterpreted and people like you will eat it up.

ooooooooh the pressure :wenger:

Yeah, I love the Barry comparison. So Calderon's doing nothing, eh? an insignificant fart? of no consequence in any of this? nor Blatter nor Platini nor the Press? Nor idiots like you? I suppose Ronnie could just come out and say he's giving an arm to us to prove to you fickle lot that he 'loves' the club, eh? Still wouldn't do it with the likes of you 'feck 'im, he's a cnut'. Tosser.

I've got a good idea. Let's stick to undisputable facts. What are they? any offer from anybody? NO! any transfer request from anybody? NO! CQ left? YES!

Oh, shit. Must be something wrong.

I saw thhe video of Ronaldo interview.

And He clearly said he agrees with Blatter and also said he doesn't know where he will play next season.

Anyone who doesn't see Ronaldo's arrogance and disrespect towrds United is a fcking twat.

Oh, right! That's it then. I've always wondered what the word 'disrepect' actually means. Now I know. feckin' idiot!

Calderon is a scheming, bullying individual who will not hesitate to stoop to using whatever means
he can to get his way. In this instance he has been brilliant in a sense.

He is no fool and he knows that Manchester United refuses to sell and that Ronaldo will not make a transfer
request. He then hatches a plan to first get Platini and then Blatter to make ridiculous statements
in Real's favour. He must have let Ronaldo in on his plans, judging from Ronaldo's comments since Blatter's outburst.

Judging from the majority of the posts here since Ronaldo's agreement with Blatter, Calderon has succeeded in
alienating the fans further from Ronaldo, thus in his opinion making it so much easier to force through the transfer
and lowering the transfer fee in the process.

In my opinion, this is a brilliant strategy, if you are dealing with a normal club. However, he has clearly underestimated
the institution that is Manchester United, the club with the biggest fanbase in the world bar none. I expect our club to
now pull out all the stops to make sure that Real do not succeed in getting their man, failure to do so would spell disaster
for the other football clubs whenever Real come calling.

So, Senor Calderon, listen carefully, when Real come calling, it means nothing to us unless we decide to take your call.
NOW feck OFF!!

Spot on! I pay no attention to the uneducated meanderings of a 23 year old who's been catapulted to fame and glory way beyond his maturity level. Calderon uses it and he's got the likes of most on 'ere well taped. When Ronaldo puts that shirt on again, I'll applaud him from the rooftops. Not so sure about Ronaldo being aware of Calderon's games, though.

I'm really not sure where this one is going now. My heart says that United should make a stand and refuse to sell whatever happens to put down a marker that Real cannot feck us about, because mark my words it will be the same shit with Anderson and Nani in two or three years. They will not only have Real in their ear but Ronaldo as well. It can't be allowed to happen.

My head however says that Fergie's silence is deafening and that he is refusing to talk about it because he has had enough and decided to sell. If we are going to do that we have to do so quickly, get the money and reinvest. I don't want the slimey cnut at United but the implications of selling him could be enormous.

I can't understand how anyone can still support a twat who called Manchester United slave masters. Blatter is a cnut, but Cristiano Ronaldo is a bigger cnut for agreeing with him.

IF ronaldo does stay what sort of reception do you think he will get at OT??

Personally i will be there and unless he comes out with a grovelling apolgy to the club, fergie and most of all the fans i will boo him every time he touches the ball from the first whistle to the last.

Even if he does stay i dont think i will ever look at him as a united player again and i am already starting to forget the good things he did over the last two seasons!!

Did he? is that what he called us? I thought he agreed that contracts made footballers modern day slaves. How do we know that Scholes and Giggs wouldn't agree with that? Nobody's ever asked them. Oh, I know, they can't agree, they'd die for the club.

You cant even compare scholes and giggsy to that little prick! no need to explain why as you already should know:nono:

The interviewer did mention manchester, the question just wasn't about modern contracts. Its already confirmed somewhere in this thread.

They've had many years to let contracts run out if they felt they were being treated like slaves. Their loyalty is the best answer as to whether they agree with him or not.

Because they're obviously content to remain with the club and had little if any other ambition. Born and bred Mancunians from the early 90's. Why would they move to a different club 'slavery' anyway? And they still haven't been asked.

The only thing this thread confirms is a large degree of Calderon pleasing, thoughtless, lemming type lunacy! 'Sell 'im, he's a cnut'
