All Ronaldo fanboys

It is EXACTLY the kind of thread that someone like Sultan would create ... because he is a true United fan. some will get that, the others will feck off to madshitecaf.net with there idol cnut.

True united fan WTF does that mean.

Some of the posters on this forum need their heads checking. Thinking they are some sort of 'top red' and blabbering on about how Ronaldo is/was a cnut.

Fact is, he was a brilliant player. He's not playing for us anymore, and I dont see how some of you can be happy about that to be honest, because going week in week out for most of the last 3 seasons, hes kept me on the edge of my seat, and brought a brilliant style of play to our pitch. Yes hes a twat sometimes. But thats him.

I really cannot see how anyone can claim they are happy about losing our top goalscorer. Sort your act out lads, and appreciate the lad for all that he has offered, because we probably wont see another player as talented as him in a United shirt for a long time.

I am Not a fan boy. I am a very disapointed United fan who feels that the business today could have been handled in a far better way. Also annoyed with this divide between our fans, the lads who think they know it all, and are 'true fans' and the other lads who are branded as fan boys. Ridiculous. Its like a feckin playground.

Grow up.

But why does defending Ronaldo make someone a fanboy?

I defended Ruud after he left, does that make me a Ruud fanboy?

Kind of.

Defends how hard you defended Ruud.

I mean, he did hand in three transfer requests in a row, can't think of a valid argument in defence of him in all honesty.

I can't wait to see more of him next season. He's got all the attributes required to become a brilliant footballer.

Me too, could be special.

Hopefully we're not building our hopes up too much.

Anyone who disagrees with the fact that he has been an integral part of an ultimately successful team over the past 3 years can feck right off.

May have tried to sell himself, but dreams are dreams. Didnt we do the same to Rooney? Didnt we grab Berbatov? Seems like our fans cant deal with it when it happens to us.

Erm, the defense should be that 'he wanted to leave'. There's nothing wrong with wanting to move on!

Probably because they made a good career move, stepped up a level, and had a very valid reason to move.

Ronaldo has his reasons but they're not all that solid, nowhere near as solid as wanting to move from a Uefa Cup team to a Champions League team.

Whilst under contract. Or doesn't that mean anything at all?

And Berbatovs transfer was all perfect wasnt it

This sort of stuff happens in modern football. Contracts mean bugger all.

Just accept that he's gone. Don't critisize him for leaving, instead look at all the things he did for us. We can move onward and upwards from here. United > any one player.

Spurs fans have a right to be pissed off with him.

Erm...surely Ronaldo's reasons are more solid than Rooneys?

Rooney moved from his boyhood club to United.

Ronaldo moves from United to his boyhood club.

He wanted to leave because why? Unless he had a valid reason then wanting to leave, isn't really a great defence.

Liesssss.

Ronaldo moved to a country that he prefers, whether Real Madrid are actually his boyhood club is debatable.

Like I said, one's a career move with a very clear intention, Ronaldo's is a bit more cloudy.

I'm not annoyed at him, he's a majestic player and was a great servant to the club, and I quite like the guy from what I know of him, and I'll not hold any grudge for him leaving.

To play for a team which he has supposedly dreamt of from a young age. Players on the continent dream about Madrid and Barcelona. Not United and Liverpool.

You have to accept this, just one of those things.

Also he had won every major trophy in England. Some players find it hard to motivate themselves to win them repeatedly. Thats why players like Giggs/Neville/Scholes are legends.

Rooney's move was a step up, Ronaldo's is a step down. The only club in the world that he could have joined was Barca in order for it to be considered as something clever to do.

Its more from the viewpoint of how we reacted to that transfer.

Fans generally care a lot more about how a player leaves than how a player arrives.

That's not specific to us.

Thats fine then, thats my viewpoint on it.

Couldnt give a shit as to his real reasons. We got paid a good fee. Got 6 years of service and decided to cash in. Job done.

Van Nistelrooy.

Course Madrid aren't his boyhood club, Benfica are. Bit like me saying Barcelona are my boyhood club even though I only had a passing interest in them when the old Ronaldo and then Rivaldo played for them.

Well stature-wise its more of a move up considering the history etc of Madrid.

But I dont care as to his reasons. I just dont see why United fans hate the lad so much. Just drop the hatred for him, theres no need. Nobody has been cheated out of anything here.

Step up or not, Everton fans have every right to slag off Rooney. Just like we are allowed to call Ronaldo a cnut.

Rooney left before offering anything of any note to the Everton fans.

Ronaldo has given us 3 seasons of glory, arguably our greatest ever era, and been top goalscorer in all three of them.

Don't think anyone hates him, just that there is a to steal a quote from Pogue, maligned indifference to the lad. Not everyone is gushing about how a "class act" has left the club. The best player of the previous season has left the club to join some fascist club and some are just indifferent to it.

It may be Sporting Lisbon. But players from Portugal/Spain usually aspire to become players playing for Real or Barcelona. That was my point.

Yep, I knew you didn't know where I was coming from him.

I don't turn my back on players the second they leave us, nor do I respect them to put their own ambitions behind the team's.

It'd be nice if they did, but since I'm one of the younger ones I've grown up watching players without anywhere near as much loyalty as back in the day, and so I understand why others feel differently about how players should treat the club.

calling a lad a cnut isnt really indifferent is it

He's Portuguese and has greasy hair.

In effect he's just gone to play for another big club when he's at one already. Madrid weren't that of big side either when Ronaldo was growing up, like I said Barcelona were.

Doesn't Portugal have any big clubs?! Spain/Portugal you seem to think it's one nation.

That is the reason Everton fans hate him more than our fans hate Ronaldo. What I don't understand is why his so called betrayal of everton should matter to United fans. Ronaldo disrespected United numerous times, so he is obviously going to get a lot of stick from united fans. He will be loved at Madrid just like Rooney is loved here.

Well I don't know Ronaldo so I can't say but his persona suggests he is a cnut. So to a call a spade a spade is no big deal.

We used to say he was a cnut, but he was at least our cnut. For about a year the cnut's been thinking about another bed.

Obviously my points are flying over your head.

The idea is, to forget the way he behaved, and just look at what he did for us. A 3rd european title and levelling the scousers is more than enough repayment to us (well me anyway, dont know about you other lads) but yet we still see the need to call him a cnut.
