All Ronaldo fanboys

Doesn't Portugal have any big clubs?! Spain/Portugal you seem to think it's one nation.

It's similar to an Irish player wanting to play in the Premier League, is it not? If an Irishman was playing at Madrid/Barcelona, wouldn't it be understandable if they would rather go and play for United?

Only just come in from work after a ridiciliously long day and find out this news. Thought it was the usual bollocks at first but it is clearly the real deal.

To be honest, I am not that arsed. Ronaldo was a top player for United but I don't feel any sorrow about him leaving United like I did when Eric retired or Keane moved on after his spat. Just interested in the amount of money we have made and the fact that Fergie has not made any public fight to keep him. Suggests that this is his decision and that makes me very confident. It is also good for this bollocks with Real to be finally over.

Its like how we have supporters from Scotland and Ireland.

Its a neighbouring country. I'm sure all these supporters follow a team from their home country as well as United.

People from Portugal (the ones I met) seem to follow Spanish football quite a bit.

No. Ireland doesn't have clubs the size of Benfica or Porto.

Obviously my points are flying over your head.

The idea is, to forget the way he behaved, and just look at what he did for us. A 3rd european title and levelling the scousers is more than enough repayment to us (well me anyway, dont know about you other lads) but yet we still see the need to call him a cnut.

Again you've ignored my point that is persona suggests he is a cnut. So he was one even whilst he was at the club. Just because he played for United doesn't mean he is guaranteed angelic status.

In any case he did well for us, no can doubt that. And in my eyes he will go down as a legend because he is too good of a player to ignore but this quote from FranklyVulgar remains true:

Yeah good luck to the player who was average when he arrived, got good under the guidance of United and as soon as he was the best made it quite clear he no longer wanted to play for the club that made him the player he is.

A class player he is, a class act he is not.

Scots generally follow Scottish clubs.

Picking little faults. Quite the WUM aren't you.

Yes, I'm clearly WUMing. Here's how it works seeing as you've got problems grasping the point:

Ireland - No big clubs. They follow the PL
Scotland - Two massive clubs and a strong league tradition. They generally follow the SPL, that is except for Frankly Vulgar.
Portugal - Two massive clubs. Benfica historically as big as United and Real. They don't need to support Spanish clubs.
San Marino - No big clubs. Follow Italian clubs.

That quote from FV unsurprisingly is bollocks. People are making it out as if SAF single handedly made Ronaldo a better player and Ronaldo didn't give us anything in return. He was pretty good when he came here not average, he improved a lot under SAF and his own hard work, he also significantly helped us win 3 league titles, 1 CL and 1 FA Cup.

Technically true as the club he supports isn't in the SPL, they're in the second division if I remember correctly.

Regardless, your insinuation is wrong.

Not true at all.

He had a good pass for the penalty, went on a couple of decent dribbles with no end product, missed a golden chance.

aye, watched the game too. the most important thing Messi did against Ecuador was missing that golden chance. Knowing FV, I'm not surprised he's claiming Messi was 'easily the best player on the park agaisnt Ecuador'.

Course a lot of it is down to hard work, but where a player develops is significantly important. And Ronaldo spent his entire late development period of 18 to 22 at United. The club had a large role to play in him being as great as he is which means FV's statement isn't complete "bollocks".

He did help win us win 3 league titles and a champions league and FA Cup but to suggest as many seem to do that he did it on his own is unsurprisingly a load codswallop. Players such as Rio have been as significant as him.

Top Reds vs Ronaldo Fanboys

with a smattering of Rooney vs Ronaldo, part 3822.

If euthanasia is legal on the caf please proceed urgently to the bedside of this thread, mods. :)

does truly suck to have ronaldo in your user name feel horrible hopefully I get a change it could be anything feck I don't really give a shit the son of abitch lied everyone and that whole lot about fergie being a father figure was a bunch of shite...

I somehow believed with all the bullshit that fergie was a father figure to him and that he would stay for afew more years but I fell for a huge trap and thats my own fault slag away lads feel like an idiot.

If we sign Cristian Rodriguez and gave him the number 7, your username still works.

Some of the posters on this forum need their heads checking. Thinking they are some sort of 'top red' and blabbering on about how Ronaldo is/was a cnut.

Fact is, he was a brilliant player.

Grow up.

Please do not confuse being brilliant and being a cnut. Ronaldo is both. It was established last summer.

Frankly, I'd prefer we did not win the trophies than attract the fanboys cnuts like him attract.

Ive had a very consistent view on Le cnut. Lots told me I was wrong. But I knew I never was.

Did well for us for a couple of seasons much like that other cnut Beckham but Legends neither will ever be.

Funnily enough, Im not even one bit gutted he has gone and cant wait to see who SAF brings in. Back to the business of supporting Manchester United.

Just this season.

Ronaldo's reaction to being substituted againt City by throwing a tracksuit to the ground, shaking his head towards the cameras, and his apparant verbals towards SAF.

Wigan - verbals to SAF during game.

In Rome - Ronaldo's criticism of SAF's tactics.

In my mind Ronaldo became too egotistical to be kept on at United. It was always going to go one way if he crossed Sir Alex.

Please do not confuse being brilliant and being a cnut.

Exactly!

No sane football fan will ever deny he is an exceptional talent.

SAF also likely so the bigger picture.

It is not possible to allow such petulant behaviour from any player, no matter how great at a club, with the likely negative effect they would have on young players.

You're talking bollocks mate, to prove a point.

No way you genuinely want to lose the league every year just to keep prickish fans away from the club.

You seem to be obsessed with calling him a cnut. Could you give me your cnut-o-meter. If Ronaldo's a cnut what would that make someone like Joey Barton? Ronaldo's behaviour was annoying, petty, childish and at times disgraceful but apart from this last season he was so good all of us just ignored it.

I follow the SPL, it's just a bit shit and it's easier to watch the prem and la liga because i dont have shitanta.

Still go to SPL games when i get the chance.

The saying is "no player is bigger than United." He has been acting like he is bigger than United for quite some time.

If we could have put that talent in another man, I'd be sad today. But he's been a cnut for quite some time. It's very telling how few are really upset on these boards.

I'm both happy and sad he's gone. Losing Ronaldo is like taking a really good shit.

So you wish not to win trophies but you can't wait to see who SAF brings in.

Just spent a hard night partying on Cafe "We've Won It 9 Times" Merengue - home of the latest two Ballon D'Or winners and a bunch of Dutch blokes we're trying to sell/part exchange (PayPal accepted)

It's all happening there, I can tell ya'.
You won't believe who we're going to sign next.
Or which player's soul we're going to sell to do it.

Last season too FWIW.

Remember him storming off against Sunderland, without even waiting to be substituted?

He's always had a shitty attitude, which has got worse in direct correlation with his increasing success and inflating ego. It's easy to forgive when he's scoring 42 goals per season for Manchester United but now he's on his way to Real Madrid I don't know why anyone would want to kid themselves he's anything other than a bit of a prat (on the pitch anyway, which is the only scenario where any of us can judge him).

Theres no doubt about that.

He will soon realise that football wise, it wont get any better than being at United.

:lol::lol:

Id say I'm doing pretty well, defo top 5 on whole of RedCafe.

Bad habit I picked up last summer after winning the CL and it seems I willonly be able to lose once the cnut officially leaves our club so does not onto my radar anymore!!!

Please follow him to Real Madrid.

I will be following his performances...Sameway I used to watch Barcelona games, just to see Ronaldinho perform.

Ronaldo is one of those players you pay to watch...No matter what team he is at.
