All Roads Lead to Rome - ALL TRAVEL/TICKET INFO FOR FINAL HERE

Ticket out sorted.

Hotel sorted.

Match ticket, dreaming.

Ticket back work in progress.

Do I give a feck?

No, it's going to be a class trip!! :)

This match is taking over my life!! I have done feck all at work since we got through and to be honest the chances of me doing much for the next two weeks are remote!!

Until I get to Rome and get this out of my system my life is on hold!!!

Wish I was going - Good luck all those travelling. I hope Roma fans leave both sets of fans alone.

Is there a copy of this email floating about anywhere?

A smart financial move by the owners but understandably infuriating for those non-exec supporters who want a ticket.

Basically, it said, Thankyou for renewing your season tickets for the 09/10 season. In doing this you have a guarenteed ticket for the CL final.

Those who renew their season tickets before 10th of May will also be able to get a guarenteed ticket.

Basically it's getting the execs to pay there and then to get a guarenteed ticket, where they're also going to be top of the list for the allocation anyway.

EDIT: we have exec season tickets, and because we already renewed we get guarenteed tickets.

Cue Abuse.

Champions League Final 2009

Dear Executive Member,

We would like to remind you that as part of your Executive Membership you are entitled to apply for tickets to see Manchester United’s UEFA Champions League final game against FC Barcelona on Wednesday 27th May at Rome’s Olympic Stadium.

As a way of rewarding those supporters who have renewed for the 2009/10 season, we are delighted to confirm that we will guarantee you a match ticket to the final for every executive facility you have at Old Trafford.

If you have not yet renewed your seasonal facility but choose to do so before 5pm on Sunday 10th May 2009, we can confirm that you will also be guaranteed a Champions League Final match ticket for every executive facility.

All other executive members will be allocated tickets proportionate to your facilities.

Please note that the application deadline for Executive Members has been changed to Sunday 10th May at 5pm meaning that results will be available from 8am on Monday 11th.

The reason this date has been brought forward is to allow Executive Members an extended timeframe for completing the travel report – which has a deadline date of Sunday 17th May.

On Monday 11th May successful applications will receive a call from Manchester United so you can discuss the necessary details required for the travel report. It would therefore be useful for each Executive Member to have the following information available:

* Full name of each person travelling
* Address details for each person
* Date of birth for each person

It is imperative that the correct information is provided for the travel report and that this is completed in advance of 17th May - failure to complete the travel report will result in match tickets not being released.

I accept no responsibility in the use of this information

Is that for real? They've genuinely said that to execs?

That's an absolute disgrace

Yes

Both my mates have been given the same story.

They're so incensed, they will not renew next season.

It was my path to Rome.:(

3,304 posts on a Man Utd forum prove your not prt of th P/S brigade. If you don't mind me asking, how much does each of your exec members cost you? Someone asked me and I have absolutely no idea.

Have fun in Rome!

£3,300 for each ticket. Pricey, but when you consider you get a decent meal, parking and the tickets, it isn't all that bad, adn the priorities for away games is nice too :).

nothing the money making side of man united suprises me anymore.

Absolutely scandulous the club giving guranteed tickets to execs if they re-new their season tickets, I make no apologies for saying this but yet again the real supporters of the club are overlooked and treated unfairly.

The execs are mostly "real supporters" just privileged in life with extra finances.

I do however have an issue with them getting preference to finals, and away games because they pay more for their tickets. Allocation of tickets should be based on a loyalty pot regardless of the cost of season tickets.

Hope you get a ticket.

Is it hard getting hotel and flights sorted for this game

Depends what your willing to pay.

I got my flight out cheap right on the final whistle, looking at a few options to get back.

Hotel I got through a mate, so not sure how hard they are to come across.

I'm doing the same as you manx.

Roll on friday, I have a feeling this is going to be a very nervy week :nervous:

Flying out to Bologna Wendesday morning driving to the game then driving back to Bologna and flying home for 8.30 Thursday morning, £190 with BA plus car hire- not bad if i do say so myself...

I just read that Manchester United fans will sit in the Curva Nord (home of the Lazio ultras) and Barcelona fans in the Curva Sud (home of the Roma ultras).

Do you have to sit in the North / South Stand though?

If I had the cash, I'd do it just to get the aways - subject to the above post I may have to also get a normal season ticket, and give away my exec one for home matches.
Somehow I failed to win that £110m euromillions rollover on Friday, so this all remains a dream, along with renewing my existing season ticket.:(

Anyone else scoundered trawling the net looking at tickets at outrageous prices and you can get as many as you want.I really hate the wankers that sell them.Jesus I would love it if they cant sell them

May find out tmrw - check your bank accounts - they start taking money out tmrw.

Im bricking it - execs will have taken a fat chunk of the allocation.

Likewise, pointless having ballot result really, everyone who has applied will know by checking their bank accounts.

A lot of online touts trying to sell tickets dont actually have them - they make the sale, collect the cash and then try to buy it at a cheaper price - complete bastards basically

Shit, that means im going to be beside the Barca fans.....Where did you read that?

We're staying in a hotel 5km from the stadium called Hotel Pineta Palace, got some good reviews and not massively expensive, 4star as well.

Im just down the road from that hotel. I almost picked that hotel. Im at the River Palace Hotel from the monday.

Anyone else staying nearby or getting to rome early?

£35 return flight dublin to milan. hiring a people carrier to get us to rome and back. apartment split 7 ways (its supposed to sleep a max of 5 but plenty of sofa/floor room) works out 42 euro each for the both nights. we're just short 3 tkts at the minute but im well pleased with the price we have for rome and back at the minute.

by the by...anyone heading to fergiefields in rome? i reckon it has to be a must for any ticketless reds. www.fergiefields.com
