All-Ireland Championships '09

That game was a shock.Cant figure out whether Kerry were that good or Dublin that bad.It does appear that Kerry have got the monkey of their backs and if they keep repeating that form no one will beat them

combination of kerry being good and dublin being total shite really

dublin were awful man, they literally didn't win a kick out or tackle for a half hour ... all wandering around at half pace ... didn't know who to mark or where to stand ... but basically couldn't catch, kick, run with or pass the ball.

Kerry were ok when they had the ball but we were a disgrace.

we put no pressure on them at all when they were in possession, it looked like training ...

it was embarrassing

I've been saying this for a while - Dublin simply cannot defend. Anytime they are being attacked, they seem completely all over the place. They never seem to get first to the ball and don't close down leaving players with too much space. They did the same against Meath and Kildare and should have been punished.

Diarmuid Connelly is absolutely shite and should be nowhere near the Dublin team. I can't believe better players were sacrificed today and he was left on.

has contributed nothing, ever, in a dublin shirt. He must be fecking amazing in training.

By the way, I've noticed this before, I think Gooch gets an awful time from a lot of defenders. Most defenders dish out a few whacks, but he seems to be singled out consistently. Obviously he looks like a soft touch but it sickens me the way cowardly players go at him yet they'd be afraid of their lives if someone like Donaghy was up against them. Gooch made a show of Bastic today who made a blatant attempt to do him damage except Gooch was too quick. He was class today.

Dublin were a disgrace. I have heard so much in last 4 hours saying how great Kerry were. Dublin had a mental breakdown. No question about it.

Hope kerry and Tyrone go no further. Hate them

Have been telling people for a month now not to write meath off. Good young squad of gifted hard players. If they get over Mayo - they'll give Kerry a good run for it.

I think it'll be a Kerry Tyrone final again Baz.

Gooch is bigger than he looks and no saint himself. he does look like a choirboy though. great abilty too, the cnut

Why does this Pat Burke be brought on consistently for Dublin as well? He is brutal.

And also, Dublin were getting mauled in midfield by O'Shea yet they leave Shane Ryan on the bench until the last 6 minutes or something. It beggars belief.

It is that choirboy look that probably has him singled out though. I wish they'd dish out a bit of stuff to the likes of Paul Galvin instead. He needs a good kicking.

Cork are huge men, literally ... they might suprise people, I was more scared of them than anyone .... before today

If Kerry play like they did today, it would take some team to beat them. Dublin were brutal, but Kerry were phenomenal. They made Dublin look like Wicklow or something.

aye, I said wexford at the game today ... but really I have rarely seen one team contribute to make another look good like dublin did today ... no pressure applied anywhere on the park ... they looked hungover.

aye, he made cullen look a slow fat stupid twat today ... i hate galvin, he has skill and steel ... the bollix

They're just not good enough. There are three of four very good players but that's it, the rest are average at best. Man for man, Kerry are far stronger, as are most of the top teams. Brogan(s) are good enough, as is Cluxton even if he is a total scumbag, and maybe Cahill. I don't think Dublin have that much to offer. The midfield was brutal even when Whelan came on, and there was nothing much to the half forward line. Their best defender was so bad he had to be hauled off. Just terrible really. Fair play to Kerry though.

sadly true.

Dublin are as bad as they looked today , but Kerry are not as good as they looked.

But I'm still livid, I could be bitter.

I know how it feels being from Derry, you keep getting your hopes up year in year out only for the same old shite to happen. It is hard to explain when a team collapses like Dublin today and we did against Tyrone especially when you know they are capable of so much better

Nothing to do with the players ability. They have it. They just do not have it mentally against Kerry.

What a day, what a performance! I'm full of beer but I couldn't be prouder of that team, absolutely astounding performance, a performance that we always had in us and what a day to produce it. Feel tad sorry for Dublin though, they aren't anywhere as bad as the scoreline suggests, man for man they simply didn't perform on the day.

Ah Kerry deserved it fully. The scoreline was probably a bit harsh on Dublin, but only a bit. If they had converted 2 of the shots that they hit the bar with, the score would have been more respectable but there was always an extra gear for Kerry to go in to. Easy peasy really.

gooch took some very big hits yesterday, noticed it too and Bastic was lucky not to be sent off

Bastic should have been sent off. Remember when Gooch scored that point towards the end of the match and his momentum took him over the line, Bastic went at him with intent to do damage. Luckily for Gooch, he was that extra yard quicker and Bastic didn't make full contact. I was delighted to see Gooch taking the piss out of him to be honest.

The Dublin lads were all out on the sauce last night (I presume Copper Face Jacks) and apparently they didn't give a flying feck after being demolished by Kerry. No surprise anyway. Serial bottlers.

Fair play to Kerry. Played with intensity and skill to take apart any team yesterday. Dubs were downright awful though. Each defender was 2 yards behind his man every time. Each forward didnt track his man. The Brogans at least went at Kerry and Cluxton did well in goal. We lack leaders all over the park and I cant understand in the first ten minutes against a Kerry side clearly flying why we didnt bring 14 men back behind the ball and look to just win it and get a few frees for a while. I think Gilroy should gut this team and build a new one around Brogans. Hopefully lessons will be learnt this year.

Kerry looked very good and very fired up. First we've seen of the real Kerry this year I feel. Meath are a bit of a surprise package for me this year. They seem to have added toughness to their game after slumping against Dublin in Leinster. I think they will put it up to anyone they meet and will be no pushovers. Still Cork or Tyrone overall for me though.

This cork team could be a tough test for Tyrone. 17 players over 6ft 3! Though I have faith that Micky will have a gameplan to beat them.

Told youse - That Meath team are like coal. Abit of polish and they could turn into diamonds.....

About the only team I see who'll give Kerry and Tyrone a proper in your face game they both need

Jaysus Mayo were brutal today. It was a poor match in truth. Two teams that weren't going to win the All Ireland fighting to lose the semi against Kerry.

Great match between Waterford and Kilkenny. At least Waterford put up a fight. I thought Mullane was pretty damn poor especially with the form he had been in.
