Apparently there was a crisis last season when we won the league and a crisis 09/10 when we lost it by one point.
Not bad for a club in crisis.
So now Arsenals chairman has said that Barcelona have made contact over a possible move for Fabergas. Like others have said I can't see them buying all three so who will they focus their energy on? Hopefully they'll focus on Rossi and Fabergas and leave Sanchez with one less decision to make.
Isn't that over dramatizing? If we rule out Europe our squad is good. Not brilliant. Vds has just retired...Scholes/Neville..just retired...Giggs has what a season in him? ..Hargreaves has gone....Gibson is all probability gone...(brown/o'shea) maybe on their way out....why do some insist on looking backwards? There's no crisis but clearly we're in transition and we've lost a lot of experience.
Next seasons out biggest for many years. VDS is a big Big loss. (sanchez) These kind of things are big in the dressing room. It boosts their confidence when you buy quality. He's gained experience and clearly he won't harm Barcelona. I know someone suggested it would but I don't think so. Everyone has flaws - even the greatest but what they give going forward usually cancels any flaws out usually.
So yes we have to be bold but not daft to think teams won't strengthen.

The dramatising was not on my part, I was merely showing the ridiculousness of the quoted post.
We need a Roy Keane type player with a bit of experience to add to Young, Jones and De Gea. Nothing more.
The nonsense in this thread is mind boggling and I am sure half the posters in here are CM, teenage fantasists.
SAF, buy me De Rossi and let's get the season started.
Chicarito will be awesome this year!!
You missed the point i think FM. Far be it for me to speak for others but i believe he was lightheartedly suggesting a potential muppet crisis within the transfer forum.
Spot on....
I was referring to a muppet crisis. Personally, there was a time when I used to doubt Fergie's decisions in the transfer market....but not anymore. He proved us wrong too many times. Fergie may not be perfect but is more right than wrong than anyone else in the longer term.

I agree, those on here who are dismissing Sanchez by saying we don't need him, or he doesn't fit our current system, are forgetting one vital point.
If as is suggested we are in for Sanchez, then SAF obviously believes we need him, and therefore if we do sign him, the dynamics of the team and how SAF chooses to set us up could also change dramatically from what we had last year.
So i don't go along with those who dismiss certain players based on nothing except their own preconceptions. Speculation is one thing, but i have seen outright dismissal from some on here, and then stated as though it is fact!
I have seen it with Young and now Sanchez. When will people learn that only one man knows what players we need, and how best to play them?
I'm not sure if we missed out on the player, it would be because we didn't want him. That's the only argument I could make. We've obviously looked at him. I'm surprised with all these rumours we've not been linked back to Costa. The media is a curious thing. But yeah we'll have a number of possibilities I'm sure
Basically, we are all hoping (praying) that Barca choose Fabregas and/or Rossi over Sanchez
I wouldn't be suprised if they get all three!
The talk is we didn't even make a bid for Sanchez...

How do you explain this, then?

We usually end up signing players we are least/ linked to.

SkyGraemeBailey:
Seemingly Sanchez has now moved on, Chilean & Spanish press paraphrasing him, saying he has told team-mates he is going to Barcelona...
Reports claim that that deal could be pushed through within 48 hours, deal could include Jonathan Soriano
Rossi's agent has said they (Barca) have dropped all interest in Rossi and are going all out for Sanchez and Fabregas.
Is that new? I saw an article this morning where his agent said Barca's latest offer has been turned down.
Yup. Yahoo sports.
Interesting, we still have a buy back clause don't we?
Don't think so. Believe thats run out.
