Nothing this lad doesn't know, he's teasing at the moment on KEY 103.

Manchester Premier Hit Station.

Is that Alexis Sanchez?

Going for him means we are selling Nani AND Berbatov and replacing both of them with a single player... who, potentially, suits our style of play better in that he has more pace than Berbatov, more football intelligence than Nani and works harder than either of them.

Young is just another squad winger which in this context makes sense. He will play when Sanchez plays up top with Rooney.

It does? Thanks for dropping by Fergie.

So... Only Carrick to clean up the mess? Poor sod.

I'm not talking about a single formation :wenger:

I'm talking about our changing tactics over a season, there would be 5 positions availible depending on what formation we played each game.

Ok that makes my math crooked , but would still clearly be enough game time for everyone once injuries and fatigue are taken into account. The fact we could rest players and keep them fresh for the run in without noticing a dip in quality on the field would be a massive plus.

Striker:
Hernandez
Berbatov
Rooney
Welbeck
Macheda

Forward:
Rooney
Young
Berbatov
Welbeck

Wide Left:
Nani
Young
Giggs
Park
Welbeck
Cleverley

Wide right:
Valencia
Nani
Young
Cleverley

I just can't see any spot he'd be worth spending 30m+ on to play in when we've just (allegedly) spent 15m on Young who'll probably not be a guaranteed first choice himself. Despite being dismissed, the only situation I can see the transfer making sense is if Nani and Berba are both sold, which doesn't seem likely.

Posts like this piss me off.

Muppets are spanking off here, now go away!

Don't smash my Sanchez dream you gimp. But to be fair, we splashed the cash on Rooney after just buying Smudge and had Ruud, Saha, Bellion and Forlan as our pool of strikers. Sometimes a talent is too good to miss out

Sharky I forget, am I texting Alexis about the superiority of the red kit or are you?

I already sent it, he was about to sign for Barca until he read it. He's now considering the pros and cons of the kit colours, something he hadn't previously thought of.

He will make a colour based decision after watching the U21 Championships and doing his research on red vs snot.

I think this is it.

If we are over stocked, so be it, it's better to be over stocked than under stocked and we can always assess the situation next summer. Sanchez is one of those talents who could be pushing for the WPOTY award in a couple of seasons with the right guidance. You don't worrk about upsetting Park Ji Sung or Ashley Young when you sign someone that good.

Good work.

I hope he hasn't seen the leaked pictures of that blue hooped number yet.

That doesn't matter, I told him R Nick from redcafe has worked out the odds and that we'll defintely be playing red vs snot next time we face Barca. He said he'd prefer to play in skins rather than look like , and I quote "that slimey little fecker from ghostbusters".

I love it when a plan comes together.

I understand the point, but why even bother signing Young if we're going after Sanchez? 15m isn't pocket change and they'd play essentially the same exact role in the squad - which, according to most, isn't even a position we particularly need strengthening in. If no one is leaving, there's no need for 2 new players exactly alike, both of whom would be on huge wages. The fact that we're pushing forward with the Ashley Young deal is the main thing that makes me skeptical we're actually in for Sanchez.

It comes from baseball, but choosing Ashley Young over Sanchez would be a classic 'moneyball' move. Smaller transfer fee, less wages; yet equal (at very least similar) offensive output. It's probably common knowledge now, but look at how many goals and assists Ashley Young has put up in the past 4-5 years - those are the type of numbers we'd be more than happy to get from 30-35m Alexis Sanchez. If we can get that output for half the price (and from a homegrown England international), why risk buying a player who could end up not adapting to the Premier League?

[MOAN]Let's face it, Jones will be our only purchase this season. :([/MOAN]

According to this (via Google translate) negotiations have been postponed until next week with Barca having the advantage:

ESCLUSIVA TMW - Udinese, rimandata la cessione di Sanchez - TUTTO MERCATO WEB

Its Italian so i'd trust that alot more than some Spanish shite site.. still tho, if thats true - what the fecks goin on eh?

Jumping to conclusions muppetry

1. Sanchez wants to go to Barca & no-where else
2. Barca want Fabregas (top target) but are waitin on Arsenal to see if they'll negotiate. If not then Sanchez is in
3. Barca have to sell a few players or use as part of a deal
4. Barca flexing their muscles
5. Barca = shower of cnuts
