Alexis Sanchez | Udinese: No Deal Yet

I'm not saying he's true, but he's got about as much proof that we want / don't want Sanchez as everybody else has. There's no guaranteed facts that we want him, that Gill was actually in Barcelona yesterday or that we've even agreed a fee. It's speculation left, right and centre.

What i'm saying is that I feel we don't need him, but i'm not Fergie, I don't run the team & I'm happy with what ever decision he makes. Yesterday morning City had him, now it's United. Nothing can believed until a club comes out and makes an announcement on a deal themselves.

While no one can be a 100% trusted, every paper is reporting that Gill met the Udinese president yesterday, they surely did some checking, on the other hand M16 is a random, faceless guy/girl on twitter.

There is photographic evidence circulating of the meeting if you look hard enough.

Where's you facts? Are you going to provide us with some direct quotes? A photo of Gill meeting his reps!?

Everything smells like bullshit in this transfer. As I mentioned nothing is guaranteed, he could end up anywhere still... I just wouldn't be keeping my hopes up that he signs.

This confuses me a bit!. Whilst i agree with the general idea of your post, the reason for the post is slightly disturbing!. Yes we don't know if sanchez is signing with Man utd, we don't even know for sure if Gill met with the representatives. But there are some sources, more reliable than a faceless person in twitter, which say there's a possibility it might happen. So a few guys here are fulfilling their summer afternoon dreaming of a very very talented player playing for the club of their dreams. And you come along and try to come up with something that tries to spoil that excitement they obviously have.

I don't quite agree with the muppetry that goes on here, but if thats someone's idea of a fun thing to do on a summer day afternoon, i'd leave at that rather than surfing through the net to find something negative regarding the transfer. In brief, i don't agree with the muppetry but i certainly condemn the anti muppetry!. Let people have their fun!

I don't believe for a second we are offering more money than Barcelona. We've all seen what the wage bill of their small squad is and I can't see them signing a player for around £30m and offering him squad wages.

MEN

edit: that sounds like i'm laughing at men.. or the word 'men'.. It was the fact he works for the rag MEN and he's the only one reporting this. obviously.

I'm not here to piss on everyone's parade. I'm just acting like a middle man posting information, I don't agree with either side whether it be negative or positive news. I, like the rest of us would, without a doubt, be pleased with a new high profile signing. All i'm trying to do is keep peoples feet on the ground a little in a transfer scenario like this one.

That's fair enough, but posting twitter info from an "ITK" who has been wrong before adds no real substance to the argument. The United interest may well be bullshit, but the fact is it's been reported in the newspapers and also by someone working under the banner of ESPN in Chile.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this here because it's from Twitter but it's all something on Sky apparently so:

Tim Vickery SSN: "Sanchez is in the middle of a tug of war. Transfer fee will be 30m+. Barca are very keen but Eng clubs have a good chance"

An ITK or a bunch of newspapers jumping on the bandwagon about a story. Either way neither may have substance. Again, the newspapers yesterday morning had him on his way to Citeh and a contract signed, look where it all is now... yep those newspapers are really reliable.

So wanted player, multiple clubs, big money?

Thanks Tim

So there's a tug of war between the teams who played last month for the right to be called Champions of Europe and One more team which was errr...knocked out.. in..err..Europa League?

If indeed the interests of United and Barca are true and this kid chooses Man City, then we can all mourn the death of romance in the football.

Allow me to chortle!. Chortle chortle!.

I don't remember the newspapers saying he had a deal signed with city but maybe I'm wrong? It was widely reported City were favourites because Pozza claimed they were. Which papers brought out a story which said a deal was agreed with Sanchez?

Just heard Paddy Agnew saying that City are in the driving seat.

In summary, nobody knows what the feck is happening.

Utd need to sign this guy whatever the cost! If Barca add the pace and dribbling skill of Sanchez to what they already have, the rest of us are going to fall even further behind.

Some players are worth pushing the boat out for and i personally believe Sanchez is one of them.

This whole Sanchez wants to go to Barcelona comes from an interview where he said that Barcelona would be a great destination, it has evolved from that to he only wants to go to Barcelona by Barca and City fans, all Sanchez has said is that he's leaving it to Udinese but would be more than happy to stay with them.

Spoony, I've got a new frequency on my walkie-talkie at the observation bay of MCR airport. Eyes peeled mate :)

Is Gambit, the king of muppets(self titled), actually being the voice of reason in this modicum of muppetry?
