Alexis Sanchez | Udinese: No Deal Yet

I disagree, I think Young is far more suited to it.

Nani was great last season but I think when Valencia came back and Nani was moved to the left, his form dipped a fair bit.

For that system to work, you need players who can operate on each flank and through the middle. Young is better on that score than Nani for me.

I think Nani had just as many poor games on the right - Marseille, Newcastle, Chelsea, Blackpool off the top of my head - and his best game following the injury was against Fulham from the left. He was just in poor form so it's hard to read too much into it.

I've never seen Young as comfortable (or good) on the right as Nani is, so it works both ways. When he's at his best he's roaming right across the pitch and playing with freedom and that's what the system allows.

As a renowned transfer window-licker and ITK, my sources & I can assure you all that Sanchez will sign for us.

Maybe, aye. I just see Young as a more versatile player.

It would be generally refreshing if he came and picked us over all these other teams. A guy who wants to play for United over all our rivals and who doesn't have his heart in his wallet.

You're always afraid of the fact that City or Madrid could make an insane offer to his Udinese. But hopefully his heart is set on United.

Hope this happens.

Fair enough and good points. Nani probably would be more suited.

Like I said it will be interesting to see what happens. Most likely scenario Sanchez ends up at City and we get Young.

Personally I don't think that if we were to sign Sanchez we would abandon the Young deal, however with people saying that not the way United conduct business I was just wondering was the Marcos Senna situation similar to this?

I could be talking absolute shite because at the time I wasn't really clued into all this transfer stuff but did we not have a deal agreed for Senna but only on the condition we couldn't get Hargreaves? I think even though we didn't get Hargreaves in that particular window we decided not to get Senna or he got tired of waiting for a decision or something. I'm almost sure there was something at least similar to that, but I could be completely wrong at the same time.

Great player great signing if true.

But does signing both young and Sanchez make sense. I actually see them as similar players although Sanchez is the better player.

Is it actually even confirmed that Gill was over in barcelona? i just dont see this at all especially given the Young deal, theres no way in hell we would go into a season with Sanchez/Nani/Young/Valencia/Park in my opinion, IF and i seriously doubt it but IF we are serious bidders for Sanchez then id wager both Berbatov and Nani were under serious threat.

Question is would Sanchez and Young in Berbatov and Nani out make us stronger??

Giggs only has so much left in the tank. And Sanchez is better than all of the other players that you listed with the exception of Rooney. I think he's the type of player that you don't pass on if you can get him. One of those that you say, "we'll find a way to get him on the pitch".

Sanchez is better than Nani, Valencia and Berbatov? Really?

I would say Sanchez more individual flair - Young more of a team player. Most importantly both can play at great pace and this is important to us this season.

no doubt.

but when added to nani, valencia and park it feels like we have one to many wingers.

You can argue that both can paly in behind the striker but that still means less space for berba.

IF and its a big IF, we get both Sanchez and Young, I still wonder if Nani will be used as part of a deal for Sneijder

Rooney--Hernandez--Sanchez
--------------Sneijder-------------
----Anderson---Carrick----

If young is a done deal then signing Sanchez is strange unless one of our wingers is sold

Yes, but i just dont see Fergie selling Nani after the season hes just had, why would he?

And whats with all these wingers, are we planning some radical new formation whereby centre midfield doesn't matter? oh if only!

Sanchez in Berbatov out might be the thinking, if we see Sanchez as more of a second striker than a winger, i dont even know the guys best position, has anyone on here actually watched him play enough to say?

Oh well atleast this windows exciting, deals done, deals nearly done and now this, and its only the 15th of june!

I have seen him play quite a few times, but other than this season it was mostly on the right wing. His work as a 10 this season has been superb though since January, his passing range and creativity was Udinese's key to making the CL along with Di Natale's goals. If we do buy him I think that is it for someone, most likely Berbatov, the fact we supposedly moved for Ozil makes me think Fergie wants another creative central option for sure.

Is this true? if it was surely someone on here would have posted it?

Where's that from AFO for the love of God where's that from?!

Ahem...

EDIT:

No i nicked it off RAWK, not like them to post potentially positive news about us so wondered if it was true.

They probably only posted it because they knew someone from here would see it

I'd expect Nani to be sold if we get both. But not sure if we'd get Sneijder

Basically I'd expect a roaming front 3 of:

Rooney-----Sanchez----Young

Anderson---Carrick---midfield signing

Not sure if this exists earlier in the thread but thought I'd post it anyway.

Music is a bit much.

Maybe Valencia could drop back to right back some with Sanchez ahead of him? I have no idea what we'll do with all those wingers.

Sanchez or Ogden?

I made a post yesterday saying we should line up something along those lines, ive changed my mind, i now think we need to go:

....................De Gea

.............Ferdinand - Vidic

Valencia.................................Park
...............Modric....Young

.Sanchez.........Rooney............Nani

....................Hernandez

That would own!
