Alexis Sanchez | Udinese: No Deal Yet

If our representatives really are in Barcelona holding talks with Sanchez's guys, then why would anyone believe that we wouldn't sign him. Logic suggests that we know he's gonna cost £30m+, so why would we be there in negotiations if we were not prepared to make a signing? That's if we're there; where does this information come from?

There's no way we're in for him IMO Cider. Now we've signed Young that's all our deals done at that end of the pitch.

This is Roberto Mancini we're talking about here:

James Milner > Alexis Sanchez

Not quite. Milner was rotated heavily last season on account of him having an absolute shocker.

I disagree with this. He'll take one of the wide forward slots in a 433 (or variation of 433) ahead of the likes of Super Mario, Johnson, Milner + SWP. He'll be one of the few players who starts every game.

:nono:
Give them Obertan and Top to moderate their fan forum.

We have Top and his gifs for a lifetime. Same can't be said about Sanchez.

Young deal hasn't been completed though... I still think he's a backup option.

This is all probably bullshit though and we aren't in Barcelona at all. :(

Gazzetto Dello Sport.. probably on par with the Sun/Mirror

Mancini loves his trudgers, Milner and Barry are testament to that.

I agree. As I previously said with Milner though, he was heavily rotated so there's nothing to suggest he'll get in ahead of Sanchez.

IMO next season they'll line up like:

Hart
Zabaletta Kompany Newbie Kolarov
De Jong Barry
Toure
Sanchez ------------------ Silva
Newbie

Maybe a new full back too....

Does anyone else look at that line up potentially and think given what they've spent its still really not all that.

Maybe its just me.

Nah. It's gone too far. He'll be joining us.

Very true. They were in a rush to get top 4 though which meant lots of mooney on good but not excellent players very quickly.

I've always felt the foreign sports papers tend to be slightly better than our rags however, less need for sensationalism on the continent, unless it's Marca, who, it has to be said were right eventually with Ronaldo.

The defence looks average on paper, and De Jong and Barry is meh.

Toure, Sanchez and Silva are awesome though. And you'd expect the 'newbie' up front to be something special too.

Yeah true, i just think given what they've spent they should have a first 11 unrivalled on these shores at least certainly much better than they currently have, id still say ourselves Chelsea and Arsenal as of today have better starting teams when all are fit than City.

Not sure, they have Dzeko and Balotelli there both on huge wages having spent 70 million on the pair? youd think one of those would get the nod if Frankenstein s monster leaves, can you see Balotelli happily sitting on the bench next season?

Could be quite entertaining mind. hehe.

It can also mean that we can opt for a different tactic, there is nothing that would suggest we should sell Nani to accommodate Nani.

I'd rather we sell Nani in order to sign Nani. Failing that, buy Nani.

very hard to do that, unless Nani has a twin :D

Either way, can't see us going for both Young and Sanchez. Especially since both would cost like 50m combined and we have much bigger problems in CM, rather than strengthening the wings(or second strikers)...
