What is he spot on about? Sorry but I haven't paid much attention.

Just in general he has good contacts at the club. He's usually spot about new contracts for players etc. He's a United fan though.

Ok, I'll give it another try :p. Is he saying Sanchez will sign a new deal, leave or what?

I think he would have signed a contract by now if he was considering staying at Arsenal.

I hope he stays at Arsenal because there is not a hope in hell he'll come here. He would be immense at Chelsea or City so ideally he just stays at Arsenal. Unless they ship him off to Bayern that would be the ideal scenario.

If bayern signs Sanchez, Douglas Costa will most likely become available and we should be all over that.

Agreed. He's exactly what we are missing.
he'd be such an exciting signing, I remember us being linked when he was at Gremio and at Shaktar under Fergie, it would be a very 'Fergie' style signing by Mourinho if we did get him.

As much as I hate strengthening our rivals in the EPL I'd rather him stay/go to a club here than to a 1-horse league. I like his talent.

Interesting. Everyone has a go at Ibra for his all round play. Still think Griezmann is a better fit for us and has a better attitude.

Stats are miss leading. This could indicate attempting more risky passes. Sanchez and also Ibra create the most chances for thier respective teams

This is where I find stats a bit pointless, Troy Deeney is up there ha

And if you play for a side who rarely gets the ball in the final third you will not have much of a chance to misplace passes there.

That just shows me he is trying to make the difficult passes happen. It's the same with Pogba, I will never be upset with him trying a difficult threw ball or over the top pass and losing it. We never did those things under LVG because we would lose possession, but all that ends up with is 90% passing averages and no goals. If 10 times he tries, gives it away 8 times and creates 2 goals, that's good enough for me.

55m for a player in his last year. Doesn't sound like Bayern to me.

Bayern wouldn't pay that for someone with 5 years, let alone 1. They might sign him, but it'll be for half that.

I guess Bayern will continue playing with traditional wingers so Sanchez would be the perfect fit for them. He could take over from Robben/Ribéry without needing a transition period and without a dip in quality.
The money sounds stupid but next year he might either be available for free to all rival clubs as well or he will have a new contract with Arsenal and will not be cheaper.

Bayern offering 65m€ under these circumstances sounds like fiction and must be nonsense. Maybe after endless rounds of negotiations I can see them offering something between 40-50m€.

They paid €37m for Hummels with one year left on his contract. Can't really see them go much higher for Sanchez.

Hummels is a defender who are usually much cheaper and that was also last summer.

For reference, they paid €35M for Sanches last summer and €37m to get Gotze from Dortmund 4yrs ago.

I know what they paid (Martínez for €40m 5 or so years ago is still the club record), but Hummels is the reference when it comes to players with only one year left on their contract.
And about a defender being much cheaper: they bought him off of a rival and he is a German NT player. That increases the price.

The other Sanches may also cost upto 75m Euros with the clauses in his deal

TBH I'd take Sanchez leaving for free aged 29, signing a new contract or going for £55m. Any less than that and what's the point in the extra few million that won't let you re-inforce your squad? I mean this is a market where Watford turn down 30m for Deeney and you can't buy a proven forward for that amount anymore.

Let him go to Bayern. We could do better with a younger up and coming player, as opposed to Alexis who is on his way down.

Neur, having starred in the 2010 WC, had only 1yr left at Schalke (a rivalry that made fans initially unable to accepts) when he moved to Bayern in 2011 for an initial fee of €22m (already €30m+ after performance bonuses). The initial fee made him the second most expensive keeper in the world

How long is left on the player's contract is less important than what other clubs are ready to offer for him. Gotze and Sanches were valued cos of the market and competition. Juventus, Chelsea and City are all rumored to be interested and (if true) will affect his value more than the 1yr left on his contract.

Also, Bayern have always gotten players from the Bundesliga cheaper than their foreign imports.

Yeah... I'm not completely sure he is what we need. A lot of money for just a ~two years 'filler' between Rib/Rob and Coman/Costa (or some other two young, talented wingers). But on the other hand he's maybe the only one realistically gettable on the market right now.

Sanchez would be perfect for us, he can give us 2-3 years of his peak in his best role, play as a back-up for Lewandowski if we need one and is probably the only player we can buy this summer who might instantly perform on a level close to peak Ribery/Robben. It's a no brainer in my opinion. Convince him to come, negotiate a bit with Arsenal and buy him for 45m.

If we sell Costa this summer, we'll get some money back anyway. And I highly doubt that Coman will ever be as good as Sanchez is now.

I know your man handled him well tonight, but I think this is a bit far. Sanchez is still only 28, and looking at Robben/Ribery can still do for Bayern at 33/34 years old... He'd be a very good signing for them.
