Alexis Sanchez | Done deal

Ashton was adamant he was going to City as late as Tuesday/Wednesday, so that's how much he knows...

This narrative the press are spinning that we are somehow the Man City (the f*cking club who won the lottery and have bought all of their recent success) in this scenario is absolutely bizarre.

I remember the Pogba saga and people not believing it would happen right up until we made the announcement on the charity shield morning.

There's 100% consensus this is happening this time, right? @ehsanul

The Utd fans getting offended by the media exaggerating the wages/money involved is getting more tiresome than the actual nonsense itself.

Who cares?

Thought we peaked yesterday. But then you get this

"Treacherous turncoat"

I genuinely think City are incentivising these journalists with cash or promise. It's just too much not to be the case. They know full well the closer a player gets to end of contract the wages will increase in line with reduced transfer fee.
City would have saved circa 40mil from the summer but they expect their outlay to reduce but not for wages to increase?

You would genuinely think Pep was rescuing a friend in that article.

Wow that Pep love in the UK is out of this world. So City wanted to sign Sanchez for the Champions League later stages, and we're signing hin just to "get one over" City? Are we not in Champions League?

I can't understand how someone can look at City as the romantic choice. It's that we are a romantic choice, there is no romantic choice. City move for him would have been to be a rotational player and to get an almost guranteed PL title. He chose us because we can promise him first team football, which obviously means to him more than a title he didn't earn.

Sport Witness has been one of the few sane media outlets following this story. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but the mainstream media has been bizarre in its coverage of this transfer.

I now see why Jose uses terms like 'garbage news.'

Yeah, feel dirty to be using the term "fake news", but damn, the rags make it tough! It's beyond bizarre to see the reporting and blatant Pep-fellating in progress...

Really hope Jose comes out fighting over this once he's signed. He needs to defend his player and slap down these bullshitters.

Hand on heart, as much as I like Sanchez as a player, I now want to sign him as much to see the meltdown from the mainstream media and Man City's cheerleaders as anything else.

This transfer hasn't simply boiled p!$$, its turned it to steam.

The football media in our country has suddenly turned into a parody of itself.

Absolutely, I genuinely have never seen anything like it before. Where one transfer has caused so much moral outrage by journalists because a player is choosing one club over the other. It's pathetic to see just how much of the media is on the Pep bandwagon.

For all we know, this has been done just not announced. Sanchez is down in London, we have offices down in London where contracts could easily have been signed.
This! - He does medical in London, Paperwork can be signed in London and then bussed over to the FA - Simples.

If Mkhi did his medical at the AJ bell stadium the other night then all that is needed is his signature.

It can still happen by 12 noon.

I love SportsWitness, I'd imagine the person behind it is a replica of Karl Pilkington as Bullshit man .

I'd love if it came out that Sanchez just preferred us once we entered the race. The ABU media is getting out of hand.

All this talk about joining City for the trophies and joining Man Utd for the money. Honestly we have had a few bad years since Fergie left, and City have been having their most successful period. Still, we have managed to win as many trophies as them.

It's the press. Utd are huge news. We've always had it like that.

We're relevant again after the Moyes disaster and it's boiling rivals piss.

I am enjoying it!

That red circle on the tweet is a bit out of place. Looks spooky

will be done around 5pm guys i reckon. will be in the stands for the game tomorrow. All the journalists will be reporting how he has gone for the money and how bad we are for spending so much. Bring it on!!!!. Like the good old days. F*ck that bald headed eagle, f*ck that Scouse bratwurst, F*ck that soggy lasagna.

Going out on a limb here and say.. he won’t be announced in time to play tomorrow. Which is just ridiculous considering this has been running since Sunday!

Tempers are fraying!

A Bloody Nine arguing with some Peanut Butter! :D

We should have some more news by 1:30pm GMT at least

“Update on all things” sounds ominous. I don’t think we’re going to have him signed by the Gameweek deadline.

The question is, if we do will he be in the lineup prediction options quick enough? @Niall
