Calm down. Have a pill. Patience.

That stage already, huh. Ok. What about his dog walker?

It might be too late next week! Can you start working today? Unpayed, of course. It will also give your employer a hint what kind of great employe he is getting.
Do you know what , i actually asked to start this week and go in unpaid to get a feel for it but im still waiting on my air side clearance checks to come back!

Could be totally wrong here, but I wouldn't be surprised one bit if it's the Alexis Sanchez to United side of the deal where the problem is(if there is one), and Mkhitaryan has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal and is just waiting like the rest of us for it to be finalised.

The reports are saying that Sanchez have agreed a contract with United - just waiting on the other guy.

£14m after tax can't be right, can it? That would mean (using a quick google UK tax calculator) he'd be on 500k+ a week!

It says 14mn a year post tax.

Must be, but that renders their bit about £60m in total with fees etc as bull. Idiots.

It doesn't say per year. It says that the deal "is worth over £60m once his £30m value, agents’ fee, worth more than £10m, and signing on fee are taken into consideration".

Done deal then as Telegraph and Matt Law are hardly wrong.

Those figures don't add up whichever way you look at it.

Its a dreadful piece, figures are all over the show.

That would fit better with the "Sanchez is part of the Mkhi transfer" message.

What is his point of such a tweet ? That Sanchez will ruin our dressing room ?

Why are these journalists so bitter of this transfer ? I think they're bitter than even Arsenal fans themselves.

He is Klopp’s mate. Wrote a book about him as well.

£14 million after tax? Does he mean Sanchez will earn £14 million net? Even if you factor in that the deal structure is likely to be quite complicated, once you factor in image rights and whether or not Sanchez is paid as an employee or as self-employed business, that seems like a lot of money on the gross.

Not that I care particularly, its not my money, this just seems a bit hard to decipher.

3 1/2 years would be better, but at least 2 1/2 top years should we get out of him. Get it done, Woody.

These are usually reported as complete package. If not then they would report how much is base salary.

Even if he's on 20p a month, we're still gonna see headlines like 'United ruin Football' & '£500M A WEEK!'
"Pep Guardiola, father of three, has meanwhile spoken of his shock at Dirty Sanchez's evil demands, telling reporters that his players are paid in moral fibre and intellectual nourishment."

Yeah that seems weird. I think it might 14 million per year.
Yeah no way is it 14m over 4 years, thats 67k lol.
14m per year makes sense which is approx 270k a week, but then again that seems kinda low too

Can't you just show up there and say: Here I am, what can I do? Btw, what is "air side clearance"?
Means they run checks on me to make sure im not a threat or have any criminal convictions, air side is once you pass through check in etc, all rather boring but its for security ! Also means i get to stalk utd players when they come to the airport too :)

Yeah. Its virtually impossible to work out how the deal breaks down from the figures Law's pushing. We have no idea how much of the salary package is based on discretionary or performance related bonuses etc.

Eventually someone closer to it all will leak the details. Best to wait for that.

Why not, if Arsenal are prepared to give us what we paid for a player who if he stayed would only be on the fringes, it would be more money for Mourinho to play with, either in January or in the Summer.

Because it would mean Arsenal screwed up our deal for Sanchez and secondly his market value is better than that, especially when selling to a ‘competitor’.

I'm giving you a Like, as we're desperately in need of new ITKs.

"Win-win deal for MUFC/AFC" - not sure that Arsenal fans will view it like that

Why it shouldn't be? Mikhitaryan surely wouldn't be my first choice as Sanchez replacement, but there aren't many alternatives on the market at the moment.
And Sanchez is worth nothing for us in 6 months, so we will get Mikhitaryan for nothing. And nearly no one wants to have Sanchez still i the squad. So ofc it's a win-win situation.

and why's that?

His agent said Mkhitaryan hadn't fallen out with Mourinho, but there was a difference in how they viewed the game, so it doesn't sound as though he's being forced out, more that he's happy to leave, and he nearly joined Arsenal the Summer he joined us.

On Sanchez maybe he's holding out for more money from United, or hoping City come back in for him

My wife will be landing at Manchester airport in a few hours, but given that she has walked past Phil Neville, Chicharito and Januzaj in and around Manchester and been none the wiser, I don't think she'll be much cop at Sanchez watch.

Yeah, fair enough - at this point in time you can't view their values like-for-like due to the differences in their contractual positions and, to be fair, Mkhi may well be more suited to Arsenal's style of play. However, if I was an Arsenal fan I would still be aggrieved that the club / Wenger had let it get to this position where they are exchanging a truly world class player for a player who has had one really good season and failed to prove himself in the PL to date

How did she know she walked passed them if she didn't know who they were?

Bayern just lets Bundesliga players run down their contracts then pay them huge wages as a thank you.
Don't wanna upset that dressing room..

So let's get the process of a transfer as reported by the media / redcafe nailed down here shall we

1. United may be interested in a player, the redcafe thread about that player from 2013 is bumped (poster is commended for not starting a new thread)

2. Player issues a 'come and get me' plea according to tabloid websites with many many hypnotic animated ads on their homepages - on redcafe the posts about masturbating begin - people presume they are speaking metaphorically - but perhaps not...

3. A respected journalist mouthpiece of another club reports that the player is also of interest to other domestic clubs - cocks (both metaphorical and real) are rapidly put away

4. Twitter 'personality' with an amusing twitter name, but who has no links to united or indeed anything other than his mum's umbilical chord at birth, reports that United have begun to prepare a bid - redcafe thread grows 100 pages in less than 24 hours; mainly with posts expressing disbelief in how fast the thread has grown given the lack of genuine news.

5. Claims on twitter emerge that player will now snub united in favour of a move to large Euopean rivals - many 'I told you so' posts appear in thread; several posters are referred to health professionals for treatment

6. Rumours player snub is due to manager and style of fooball - backed up by tweets from people with the dreaded blue ticks next to their names. A poster who doesn't like Jose and never did breaks his wrists while attempting to violently type up a post about how much he doesn't like Jose

7. It's now being reported as fact that actually the player prefers money over anything else and so Oil rich, sugar-daddy club United may be his preferred destination afterall

8. United move from preparing a bid to being about to 'launch' a bid - 'that' picture of Ed Woodward pointing is posted on redcafe

9. A full day passes without any united bid being launched at all (presumably due to engineering problems on the launch-pad)

10. Dramatic breaking news - different domestic rival now enters the race - oh feck it's the dreaded Liverpool link - hell breaks lose on redcafe until someone reminds everyone they (Liverpool) haven't won the league in nearly 27 (t-w-e-n-t-y s-e-v-e-n) years. This point has no relevance to, or bearing on, the potential transfer, but it's enough of a distraction to cool tensions momentarily

11. The Manager of a domestic rival admits in a press conference that they have no knowledge about their club being in the race at all

12. Several news outlets pretend they didn't hear or read the manager's quotes and continue to push the 'transfer hijack angle' because, well, why not?

13. It's too much for some Caftards; they want off this train wreck of a transfer saga, but somehow it's as if their fingers are stuck on F5

14 BOOM Player moves to City (the world ends - MaxiPaxi survives but lives out a reclusive existence contemplating the 1000 better ways he/she could have spent the time wasted posting 350 times in a transfer thread)
