Don’t take the bait, the guy is already blue bound.
Move on!
Move on!
January sales.Sanchez and Ozil for a combined 50M in this crazy market
Lukaku, Martial, Lingard, Rashford, Sanchez, Ozil and Mata. Love that as an attacking unit, has it all.
Imagine we picked up Sanchez, Ozil and Wilshere for free from Arsenal in the summer! Would solve lots of problems for no fees, and send AFTV into the biggest meltdown in history
Sanchez was a beast in Italy and Spain playing on the right, its obvious why Jose wants him imo
High steaks indeed.
I apologise for nothing
Don't think so. He likes United more.Don’t take the bait, the guy is already blue bound.
Move on!
I’d take whoever’s coming in Jan. We need improving in general, now, so that we can try and win something and not just completely give in to City.I'd honestly rather have Ozil
What makes you think that?Don't think so. He likes United more.
It makes sense for Arsenal, they get more money from us and a replacement of sorts, with Mkhitaryan as part of the deal. The only way it makes more sense to Sanchez himself (not counting more global appeal, better sponsorship deals, more money etc) is that at this stage of his career, not only will he want more trophies but he'll also want to be the main man at a big club. He gets that here. Less competition for places, would probably be the best player at the club.Makes no sense. City are runaway leaders so not direct rivals for the Top Four trophy.
At the very least Arsenal would demand 15-20M more from us than City.
Not when it shows up on the Guardian’s website. No longer a rummor. As many in the thread are suspecting, it could be that player's agent is sending out rumours in the media so that City go for him now rather than think about it and go later.
Wouldn't be the first time most of media picks up such things.
Playing on the right has never suited Sanchez. He played there initially at Udinese but truly exploded and became the top player that he is when he moved centrally and played off of and dovetailed with Di Natalie. Barcelona signed him off the back of those displays then used him on the right wing and he stuttered, never quite showing the same level of quality as the previous season and not looking on the same level as his teammates. Now, the players in the left and central positions were David Villa and Messi respectively - almost impossible to take one of their starting berths. Sanchez was of a good enough calibre to be a starter in that team, at the time obviously a side of the highest standard, but quite simply he’s not that player playing down the right. Arsenal obviously rejuvenated him while using him off the left mostly and occasionally through the middle. As a right winger he could be described as serviceable - not a disaster by any means but just loses all his stardust. There is no point getting excited about Alexis Sanchez as a right sided player because you aren’t getting Alexis Sanchez.
Which is why this would be a strange transfer. I still get it - Sanchez on the cheap or free, a great player who excels on the left, behind the striker or even up front. It would be a good purchase looked at in isolation, but when you consider we have Martial and Rashford as left-sided, right footed players of the dribbling variety already and what we need is positionally a right-sided player and stylistically a runner (though Lingard is providing this just now) and/ or a creative passer, we should be looking elsewhere.
I’m sure he doesn’t want to come anyway - he’ll be scared of getting put in Tuanzebe’s pocket in training every day.
That would utterly idiotic.I called this on the Ozil thread before this one existed week ago. Please make it so! I was so happy that we have not been tied to him and instead with Ozil. Great missdirection. He is our talisman. We need his creativity, flair, toughness.
I thought Martial will be offered but Mikhi is fine too. No brainer for Arsenal.
Yes, please!
So you basically manage United, Monaco, Spurs and Arsenal. Probably Madrid too.oh, maybe my Football Manager conquest was realistic afterall:

nope, just United! So you basically manage United, Monaco, Spurs and Arsenal. Probably Madrid too.
This just proves the press know nothing. Last week it was Malcolm, yesterday Lucas and today Sanchez, its a muppet's world after all.
FM has gone down the drain then. And Monaco have far too much money.nope, just United!
I only read the thread title, not the news. If Mkhi is included then yes, we are basically offering >30M more than City, which is what I was getting at.It makes sense for Arsenal, they get more money from us and a replacement of sorts, with Mkhitaryan as part of the deal. Still think he'll go to City but we're giving him something to seriously consider, I think.
Not a hope in hell Sanchez chooses us over City and Pep football.
Whilst I agree that they look a more attractive proposition footballing wise, I think that he would be guaranteed more play time here. He's a big ego and won't be happy on the bench. Who's getting dropped for him?
Sterling - on fire.
Sane - on fire.
Aguero - on fire.
De Bruyne - on fire.
With us, he's guarantee'd that #10 if he wants to roam. Can play on either wing, and Rashford is bang out of form at the moment - as well as the question marks up front.

It will be Sane in the short term. Aguero long term. I don’t think they should sign him but that’s what I’m expecting.
I’m not even as keen on Sanchez as some but still think he’s far more suited to us than City.

Didn't Pep sell him off while at Barca? Or was it some other manager..
It's hope that kills, I actually wanted to believe this until the ornstien tweet, not even mentioning us tells how good our chances are.Sanchezter United! Finally!
Waited for 7 years for this. Please make it happen.
