Alexis Sanchez | Done deal

Why didn't he mention the fact that Alexis wouldn't play every single game for City? Seems like he tries very hard not to come across as biased.
He does say that.

Our ex players are such miserable fecks. You'd think we're in Arsenal's position the way they go on.

Thanks for posting.

Nothing wrong with what Rio is saying really.

It's moot though. If City won't pay what Arsenal want and we do, Alexis is ours.

Its not moot. If Alexis doesnt want to play for us he won't be coming! Look at him now if you want to know what it's like to have a player not wanting to be at the club! Then recall Di Maria..he will dictate where he goes.

Rio & the panel are talking like City this season will be City next season and the year after, etc.

They need to be a bit more knowledgeable than to make assumptions like that, particularly Hoddle who reckons City will get even stronger with the gap next year. If we take Mourinho's Real as an example, he go trounced by Barcelona in games and in the league before quitely going about his reshuffles and winning the league with record goals.

I'm not saying it will repeat itself here but its not as clear cut as "City are better this season so go there now" if you're a top footballer.

If Ibra, Carick, Bailey, Rojo were fit from the start and Mikhi was on form nobody would start every game, even Lukaka and Pogba.

To challenge for 4 trophies you need to rotate your squad.

Sanchez wouldn't start every game next season (or in his favourite position) either after the summer transfers if he joins Man Utd.

Bookies are one of the best indicators what we can have. Better than random tweets... Of course even 99% sure transfers doesn't happen every time, like in DDG case shows. I guess in Griezmann case odds werent badly wrong actually. It just didn't happen because of Atletico transfer ban. And if you don't remember, Pogba, Zlatan and Mkhi and many others all were in odds 1/5, 1/10, 1/20 etc before we signed them. It doesn't guarantee anything but it's a good sign if odds collapse.
Wrong as they are based on where the most money is going from people like yourself and I. They adjust the odds accordingly. If a lot of money for example is going on City they’ll adjust the odds so that United have the better payout and they will just keep adjusting it.
It has basically nothing to do with inside information.

Rio makes some good points, but I believe he's missed some things out.

The thing Sanchez has to think about is game time, he wants to play. With Manchester City's current squad I do not at all see Sanchez playing game in game out for them, he'll be on the bench from time to time. At United, he'll be on the pitch consistently. If he wants to move now and wants money, United is the place, they are prepared to offer more than City. If he wants to reunite with Pep and win trophies this season that he'll barely contribute to, go to City.

Pep isn't desperate to get him anymore, they aren't willing to pay as much as United, showing perhaps that Pep doesn't need Alexis relating to my first point (gametime). Long term Man Utd, Mou will most definitely want a Prem title with Man Utd before he leaves and Sanchez can help that happen. Short term Man City, they could win every trophy with the way they are going.

There's very little wrong with what Rio said. He'd have looked like an idiot if he said otherwise.

He was talking like City were going to win the lot. Hold on, last I checked we're still in contention for trophies as well. The only point he could make in favour of moving to United was we could maybe offer more minutes.

When sycophants are coming out with nonsense like 'Pep or money', it certainly doesn't help when ex United players are putting us down constantly in an effort to look non biased on the telly.

Pretty much.

Listening to Rio, it's obvious he doesn't know anything about the transfer, itself and why would he?

As for what he's saying, I don't think he's wrong but it's a shame he doesn't really defend United or highlight the positives of joining a club such as ours.
