An absolutely attrocious performance. Just really, really bad.

Someone has to post up how many times he lost the ball, and what his pass % was.

I haven't seen a performance that bad in a long time.
WhoScored saying he had 37 passes, 64.9% pass accuracy (worst outfielder, next worst being Pogba/Darmian on 79.4%). Might be more reliable stat from the usual sources coming soon.

Mixed performance. Works hard but he always has to take that extra touch.

He should only improve from here on, as usual idiots are out here in full force writing him off already.

It was an average performance from the whole side, we don't keep the ball in pressure situations and that doesn't help Sanchez. If space opens up he'll far more lethal, I still have confidence in him.

Very sloppy first half but decent second half. He was actually the only attacking player who created some danger. I'm curious anyway, I understand that Mata isn't a striker, but Rashford movements was shocking, he doesn't know how to attack the ball or run behind a defender. Two or three "sloppy passes" from Sanchez weren't really that bad, but the movement of the "strikers" were.

I thought he'd be good after a getting a rest and a full pre-season?

Dreadful touch and passing in that game. If anything he's looked even worse than last season. I'd be interested to see what his pass completition % was in that game, feel like he lost the ball 4/5 times.

Worse yet it looks like he's lost his pace.

Not a left winger. His better performances in pre season came down the middle. He needs to play there if we're going to see better performances from him. That said, he made very basic errors today that he needs to cut out.

He was poor for the most part, lost the ball almost every time in the first half. Improved as the second half went along but will need to improve if he's to justify starting ahead of Martial and Rashford.

His playmaking is nowhere as crisp as he seems to think. Keep it simple. He's an experienced player and shouldn't get extra marks for trying but constantly failing overly ambituous passes

Erm...this is how he's been in virtually every game he's played for us? Wasteful, has lost a yard of pace and is overcompensating for it.

He was terrible.

He needs to perform A LOT better than that.

Considering the money we pay him, he put in a tumescent performance.

450k varieties of giving the ball away. Usually a small variation on the same cut in from the left and dink a ball to a central runner. When people ask why he does not play on the right they should remember that move.

Looked really slow off the mark as well.

Really really poor, just hope it was an off game and things didn’t work for him - it happens. Unbelievable how many times he gave the ball away with sloppy passes.

Still has a touch of class, the control and ball he sprayed out to Mata towards the end was quality, just didn’t do enough of it.

Can't believe that this was one of 3( for me) best players in league one year ago. I was over the moon when we signed him. This was shambolic display

I thought last season that Sanchez was just trying too hard to make the right impression. He never seemed fully relaxed and was a bit too anxious to do the right thing. That seems to have continued through to today. I think until he has a decent run of four or five games, we'll continue to see similar performances from him. Tonights was particularly bad.

For United he has been a nothing player so far.

He is past it, he should be shifted to the right so that Martial and Rashford can play on the left(their strong positions) and develop. He would be miles better than Mata on the right, he has played there before also he will help out defensively. United have nothing on the right, Sanchez can be a stop gap until United finds someone.

He was awful. He's finally had a full off season and he should have gelled with the squad and with Mou's tactics by now. No excuses this season. If he's this bad consistently, he should be dropped from the starting lineup - end of discussion.

Another poor performance. Don’t think he’s had a good game for us yet? I’m not counting friendlies!

The number 7 shirt looks like it weighs a tonne on his shoulders. Mostly awful and his one redeeming moment Rom hit into Kasper so he couldn’t even do some stat padding. A bit concerning after a bright preseason.

Looks finished to be honest. One of the worst performances by a United player in quite some time. Martial is the better player.

He quite literally gives the ball away 95% of the time. Carried on from where ben left off last season. Garbage.

The stubbornness in playing him out in the left position is equivalent to managers not selling Rooney. He simply has no clue how to play football in that position. Put him in that Mata position on the right, where he can choose to go wide or spend 80% of his time in the middle. That is the position he played most successfully throughout his career.

The best seasons of his career came on the left while at Arsenal.

It's not about the position anymore.

Apparently there is a Sanchez FC as well as a Martial FC. Both pretty much defend the other in the same way it seems.

Think he's getting a bit of a rough ride here. Wasn't great laying it off but the movement around him was pretty awful. Won the pen, and should have had another assist on Lukaku.

Thought he was decent. Yet to be back to his best though.

Thought he was drunk at times. Has to be careful with the ball. Should have had an assist.
