Sanchez hasn't traveled with the squad for tomorrow's game. Could be injured during training.

Wonder if he is injured, what happens if Martial/rashford take their chance. Do they keep their spot or back to the bench when Sanchez returns?

Would be a real shame if he's injured, we need him to get a run of games and get some form.

Hearing that Alexis hasn't traveled to Brighton.

He looked like he was at training without a problem all week, did he finally get dropped or is it something else? Maybe visa related?

Yeah he’s been deported.

Yeah he’s been deported.
,just a little banter

Seriously though, when and how would he have time to get injured between yesterday when he was hitting poses with Rom in training and today?

I'm waiting for the Sun to blame his absence on a 'furious bust up' between him and Jose

It'll be an injury

We're Manchester United. Surely we're used to this by now?

I genuinely can't remember the last time we've had our strongest XI all fit. Must be going back close to 10 years

Jose said it himself that he wasn't keen on a January signing because the player can't settle as easily. It's not the same as coming in the summer and kicking off with the rest of the squad.

Vidic and Evra were also Jan signings and broadly shite for their debut years.
Difference with those two is they were signed from other leagues and 24 (plus there were some language issues in Vidic's case). Sanchez is at his peak and has been in the league for four years so there shouldn't be as much of a settling in period needed. Think people just expect more from the highest earning player in the league.

I don't think the manager knows who his strongest XI is.

Hopefully nothing serious. In his absence I hope it's Martial to step up on one side and Lingard on the other.

Not sure Lingard's ready yet. Martial could come in, but with Mata most likely on the other side, Rashford would provide a better balance. He's one of the few players in our team that runs off the ball.

Sanchez is at his peak

Is he?

How many years has it been with no summer break? He could be like Rooney and have peaked much earlier than the generally accepted norm.

He certainly looks a lot slower and more sluggish than he used to be.

Well he should be at his peak. I get the comparisons to Rooney from a 'mileage' point of view, but Rooney also spent the summers boozing and smoking while Sanchez kept himself in shape. The loss of pace is definitely a concern though.

If Martial starts I couldn't care less. He's far better for us on the left than Sanchez has been.

Yeah, unfortunately, Brighton became their own enclave and closed the borders to non-europeans.

If he is injured,Jose needs to play Martial and Lingard ahead of Rashford.Rashford seems to have stalled in development. He doesn't seem to do much with the ball now.Imagine Fred,Pogba,Martial,Lingard in place of Mata and Lukaku..pace to stretch opposition defenders.

That's because he never did much on the ball. He broke through as a striker who played in a team that played football on the ground and he would usually be the player in the right place at the right time finishing off team moves/advances.

He is now asked to do too much. As a winger he is asked to spend too much time on the ball & cross - even though he shows only above average dribbling abilities. As a striker he is asked to play as a target man usually deeper on the field rather than a striker that is in the right place at the right time.

Though he can be relatively skillfull - Rashford broke through as a player a younger more capable version of Hernandez - as a pure example of the type of striker he needs to be.

I'm pretty sure almost all our players will look better with an attacking manager, barring maybe the defense and Rojones will get exposed and finally sold. Win-win.

He still probably has his house in London, probably travelled after training will meet up from his London Mansion. Shame because it might do us some good if he is injured, back to the harmony on the left of Marcus and Anthony!

“When you get tired of a game, sad for a defeat and everyone criticizes you .... They always make me smile. I look at your eyes and ask that you never leave my life”

Is Alexis OK??

Sanchez and Matic are so important to us. So simple.

People berate this guy for constantly loosing the ball, yet Martial is not even fit to lace Nani's shoes.

Again Leicester he was involved in nearly all our good periods in the attack. We need his determination in this team, alongside Matic.

As poor as he's been he was missed badly today. With him on the pitch there's no way we only create one chance in that second half.
