I'm fine with him taking risks in his passes to create something, similar to Pogba too. This style is better than what an attacking player like Mata keeps doing, taking the easiest sideways passes and hardly going for the risk. We sign these forwards to take the risks, not to take it simple!

It's also exciting to see how his quick thinking and his commitment to playing one-twos can transform our attacking play, especially on the wings where it could provide an even better outlet for our full backs.

Sanchez almost made Darmian look half-decent in attack at times by playing him through in space.

Thought this was sarcastic until your second sentence. A bit sloppy initially but looked top class and the best player on the pitch once he got going. Really boggles how you came away with average from that showing.

He lost the ball too cheaply too often and didn't offer enough in terms of dribbling and shooting. On the other hand he worked hard, showed a few lovely touches and was only our creative outlet for much of the match. Average doesn't mean bad, he was a long way from bad, but if you think his performance yesterday was 'top class' then you will lose your mind over how good he can be on a good day.

And average does not mean good either. He should have got more than one assist, probing, passing accuracy improved in second half. Would rate him a 7 so it's clear he will have better performances. But he looked a top class player in the sense you can see what he will bring to this team from that performance.

Think many need to rein their expectations just a tiny bit.

Yes he'll misplace more risky passes than Pogba because the latter has better passing technique and he'll have egotistical moments of selfishness where he'll trust himself more than the open man (think RVP ignoring an open Rooney to score a screamer) but it will be worth the reward. We finally have a livewire to initiate attacks relentlessly

This has probably been mentioned but why is Sanchez so bad in english after almost 4 years in England? Find it so wierd..

I guess it's because he didn't take any classes and doesn't care too much about learning the language.

Former Chile manager Jorge Sampaoli said this about the good Alexis
"He wakes up with his headphones on and sits alone for breakfast, not talking to anyone."

Also I Reckon he mainly have spanish speaking friends in his private life.

What's wrong with that?

I have been to both Croatia and Mexico. Mexico is far nicer to live

The fecking crime though, just read an article on the express kidnappings in Mexico City, insane numbers.

Reminds of Tevez with his urgency and style of play. He's really a handful. He's going to be a massive fan favourite.

Good call on the urgency. I think some of that comes from the confidence of being so quick over 3-4 yards. You see it with Hazard too, for instance.

Thought he looked fantastic, personally. More incisive short passer than I'd expected, which should gel real well with Pogba on what could be a terrifying left side.

Valencia has been in England for 11 years and isn't much better.

And what about Arsene Wenge? He’s been in England for 20 years and should be prancing around with a studious Oxford - but he still sounds like a French parody from a Monty Python-sketch. Perhaps that’s why Sanchez is crap, not so many (important) Brits at the Emirates.

I think it is possible that we may see Sanchez becoming a player like Ronaldo 2006/9 scoring 20+ next season, If Martial can improve again on left flank next season, so do Lukaku. On other hands, Lingard is improving as well but I'll have to wait until the end of the season to confirm whether Lingard can keep up with consistently. If we had a lot of lucks in injuries next season we can win the league.

Come back when you're fluent in French, German, English, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese.
"Being voted Britain's first ever public language champion is an incredible honour," Arsene Wenger said. "I am very proud that Arsenal and I can help raise the profile of language learning in schools."

Wenger is the first recipient of the Guardian's language award, announced today alongside the British Academy's 2013 schools language awards winners. The public language champion award is part of the British Academy and Guardian's language learning series and campaign to start a national debate on language learning.

Not taking anything away from the Professor, other than his English being ridiculously bad for a person living in the country for 20 odd years! He is hardly fluent in English when his accent is so thick and when he strives to find ze right words in every other sentence.

His English isn't bad though, it's just that he has a typical French accent. Nothing wrong with that, he speaks the language better than several posters from the UK on this forum.

There will be some people , our fans who complain about him losing possession & misplaced pass in social media at some point. But when those things happen , remember , we had 2 season under LVG averaging over 60% possession with me , getting cure for insomnia
