In 6 years, he'll only be fit for the scrap heap.
I agree with this. His injury record is superb as well. Very consistent player.Looking at his running, he'll free up Rashford a bit more as Shaw is a much safer bet defending wise but lacks that progression when we want to break down teams who tend to sit back. It should allow Williams to play RB to cover AWB, and not have to cut back onto his right
My only worry is he'll be 29 in 2 years time.
I agree. This is what makes Trent better than Wan Bissaka. AWB is better defensively hands down but Trent is so much smarter and better as an all round footballer.I'd rather have a fullback who's a great attacker and an average defender than the opposite. Telles seems a solid option at an attractive price and the leaks suggests it could happen soon. Would be great news.
That's the spirit. Don't blame you though.Don't worry, PSG will sign him

Highly plausible. Will be right in the middle of our 'preparing an offer' stage. Poor old Woodward would never see it coming.Bernat tore his ACL and will be out for a while. PSG will get him if they want him.
Seen him enough to know he's not good enough defensively and that's in a team where he doesn't have to do a lot of defensive work.I mean top 4 but interesting your concern extends to other sides.
Have you seen him? Personally I don't see the point of he's not defensively sound (which is an apparent weakness of his). But if Ole plans to do 3 at the back for certain games then sure Telles may be a good shout.
And the whole world will be in total lockdown so no football....if the planet's no dead by thenAnd by the time this guy at his 30, the 17 years old left back we signed from Real Madrid academy this year will be ready for first team football.
I've no idea who he is but I'd say, definitely yesIs he better than Ally Chisoko
Haven thought of it that way. Brilliant plan! And by the time this guy at his 30, the 17 years old left back we signed from Real Madrid academy this year will be ready for first team football.
Haven’t seen much bar YouTube clips but seems to play with the tenacity and pace I’d love from a full back.
To be fair, Bruno was in a much smallerTelles is an interesting one.
Very good stats and consistently for a while now, but why is he still at Porto. Sancho + Telles (if his stats can translate) would still be a good window.
Can one of the Portuguese shed some color?
He would be 32 in 5 years. Hardly a senior citizen. It’s prolly a 4+1 year deal. Doubt we will trigger the extension.
I think it could be Euros too not pounds which is even betterI'm finishing the day hoping we sign him having thought this morning if we sign him for £20m Ed Woodward should get tickled to within an inch of his life, football transfers, bloody hell - shut that bloody window!
I think it could be Euros too not pounds which is even better
Luke Shaw does himself absolutely no favors in that department at all. He jogs back to his position. Telles can't be worse than Shaw there.I, for one, look forward to Harry Maguire being dragged out to left back to cover for our new attacking full back. It really utilises all of his strengths.
Have you got Yen?Yeah I know I just haven't got a euros thingy on my keyboard
€
Then do you think Shaw would have jogged back into position when we played Seville, allowing the guy to score with ease? Doubt itLuke Shaw does himself absolutely no favors in that department at all. He jogs back to his position. Telles can't be worse than Shaw there.
I've no idea who he is but I'd say, definitely yes

Not Chisoko then?Aly Cissoko ex, Porto, Liverpool and other teams...
My only worry is he'll be 29 in 2 years time.
Really not sure about him
Not Chisoko then?
