He's not played for so long that there are bound to be cobwebs around his boots by now.

We are that desperate that I would take him on loan. It's sad to say but choosing between him or Fletcher there really isn't a difficult choice.

He's 26 and did a very good job for arsenal, won't cost much and would add needed depth to our midfield, why not?

I would take him at United, people must be forgetting how well he did for Arsenal before moving on to Barca.

It was a bad move for him, he was never going to make it with the quality they had, i'm surprised it took him that long to look for a move.

Remember him looking distinctly out of shape and then headbutting someone at the World Cup. Probably not the right choice for our midfield right now.

Our current midfield is out of shape and doesn't headbutt people. The headbutting will be an upgrade!

He's still not even looking :D

Greedy bastard is just happy to get paid, Barcelona are doing everything to get rid but he's not bothered about moving.

I've got a feeling this will be our midfield signing. He's reportedly available.

Him or De Jong.

He has had a tough run for Barca but, too good for a side like West Ham. A club like Leverkusen, Schalke, Monaco should try to bring him in on loan to give them a better chance in the CL. Heck maybe even Liverpool could get some use out of him.

I could understand getting him if he was a pure cdm, he isn't and thus not required, even at desperate times, he will be a terrible buy.

Would probably be a better option than Cleverley in CM.
So would Jonjo Shelvey and Djemba-Djemba. Being better than Cleverley does not qualify you as good enough to play for United. Song certainly isn't.

None of them want to pay his stupidly high wages and he just wants paid so he's forcing himself to take the step down. Shocking attitude.

That is why I said loan.

Didn't notice that but even still you're having to pay a loan fee and a large amount of his wages. Dunno about the other clubs but I'd rather we(Liverpool) got no one than got Song.

I'd place a bid for him, wouldn't cost much, imagine his wages aren't silly aren't silly at Barcelona, and he was looking a promising player at Arsenal, he just never got a look in a Barca...

He and RVP had a fantastic link when at Arsenal.

Still, I don't know how good of a player he is these days. Barely played at Barca, and he was an idiot at the WC with that elbow-scrape on someone's back. Tit.

Apparently he's on the pitch in a West Ham kit at Upton Park. A good buy if true. (going by the BBC's live matchday feed)

I appreciate the sentiment my friend. But at this point in time I'm not feeling quite that picky, nor very patient for this issue to solve itself.
