He's not played for so long that there are bound to be cobwebs around his boots by now.
We are that desperate that I would take him on loan. It's sad to say but choosing between him or Fletcher there really isn't a difficult choice.
I would take him at United, people must be forgetting how well he did for Arsenal before moving on to Barca. He's 26 and did a very good job for arsenal, won't cost much and would add needed depth to our midfield, why not?

Our current midfield is out of shape and doesn't headbutt people. The headbutting will be an upgrade!Remember him looking distinctly out of shape and then headbutting someone at the World Cup. Probably not the right choice for our midfield right now.
It was a bad move for him, he was never going to make it with the quality they had, i'm surprised it took him that long to look for a move.
Would probably be a better option than Cleverley in CM.
I've got a feeling this will be our midfield signing. He's reportedly available.
Him or De Jong.
So would Jonjo Shelvey and Djemba-Djemba. Being better than Cleverley does not qualify you as good enough to play for United. Song certainly isn't.Would probably be a better option than Cleverley in CM.
He pissed off Wenger which is why he was sold so quickly. If Arsenal are looking for a defensive midfielder, and they did seem to be interested in Carvalho, why not get this guy back again? He was pretty good for them.

He has had a tough run for Barca but, too good for a side like West Ham. A club like Leverkusen, Schalke, Monaco should try to bring him in on loan to give them a better chance in the CL. Heck maybe even Liverpool could get some use out of him.
No we're all about Fellaini's elbows. Our current midfield is out of shape and doesn't headbutt people. The headbutting will be an upgrade!
Wow. Some severe underrating of Cleverley there.
None of them want to pay his stupidly high wages and he just wants paid so he's forcing himself to take the step down. Shocking attitude.
That is why I said loan.

Not surprising given his dire performances in the last 2 years
I appreciate the sentiment my friend. But at this point in time I'm not feeling quite that picky, nor very patient for this issue to solve itself. So would Jonjo Shelvey and Djemba-Djemba. Being better than Cleverley does not qualify you as good enough to play for United. Song certainly isn't.
