Alex Sandro

I've seen people posting he hasn't been too good this season?

I guess he's still the best available and the sooner we move on from Young and Shaw as our starters the better.

Would be so amazing if we got him and sent Darmian their way in return.

But why would Juve sell, or Sandro want to leave?

Can’t remember who but a Juve fan on here said not to buy into his form this season as it’s down to him wanting to leave as opposed to his ability regressing and that he’s a genuinely quality left back who’s also good as a left winger or even in central midfield.

Make it happen. Would be such a boost to see that wrapped up early.

Brazil are using Spurs’ training ground from May 28th to June 8th so that could be very convenient.

What is he like attacking wise, is he quick and more importantly can he cross a ball?

Don't want another Valencia who dithers at the final point of attack.

It's not a secret that he wants to leave — and this is the main reason why Juve may want to sell him. He hasn't been that good this season — a situation a lot like with Sanchez at Arsenal.

You don't watch much Serie A then because he was left out due to him wanting to leave for parts of the season and when he played he was actually very good a few MOTM performances in my eyes.

Only 21 league games and 3 were substitute appearances that's not great for the squad first choice LB.

He's not a speed merchant but has plenty of it when needed. He's more a Marcelo type of player.

He arrived with Danilo at Porto. And while the latter was a hard worker and a physical beast with not so good decisions, Sandro was much more talented. In fact, he was one of the most talented players that passed by us recently. One of my favorites to watch he always seems so composed and confortable with the ball.

His only weakness is that you expect a player of his ability to be more commanding and take more initiative. And more often than not he seems happy to stick to his duty but he could do much more.

Not 100% sure on this guy, our record with Brazilians isn't great and didn't he make his name playing in a back 5 as a wing back?

Good news.

Probably the best signing we can make all season in context: position of priority, the player wants a move, peak age, arguably a top five in the world in his position playing for a top five team.

Looks like we'll get him. He wants to leave and not too many clubs in the market for a left back. Darmian will probably be included in the package too.

I think United should go for Telles instead :D

Would be a great signing, a Mourinho signing if there ever was one. I expect him to fit in perfectly and hit the ground running, like Matic.

This deal will most likely involve Martial going the other way unfortunately but Sandro is a cracking left back.

in 15/16 and 16/17 he was absolutely world class and at 27 I'm pretty confident he can get back to that level.

Not sure about A. Sandro, would he be an upgrade even on Young? I watched 8 minute highlight video reel, he seems very average going forward to me. Some okay crosses but you could make that from any fullback, pick the good ones... he doesn't seem to take on players, more making runs, would be more like Brazilian Luke Shaw, he would have to be absolutely solid defensively which is hard to tell from such compilation which doesn't show much. Would people be even excited about him if he wasn't Brazilian?

I am not convinced, hope our scouting team knows better, the lad from Celtic looks more explosive, leader on the pitch, more pace and would settle down quickly and plenty of potential.. We all know who would SAF be after..

Nah, Sandro is the better player but Telles is a player that is easy to like due to his hard work, reliability and determination. But at Man United you need that extra edge that Sandro has.

So that article says we are after Sandro, a Carrick replacement, another CM if Fellaini leaves and a winger.
It says Juve are expecting a fee near 50 mill or close to that paid by City for Mendy. So I think we could get him for 35 mill+Darmian
Hopefully we are not selling Martial to buy that winger.

Good grief, of course he would.

I think his 17/18 highlights reel are a bit meh because he was in and out of the team, he wanted to leave which could have affected his performance.
If you look at his 16/17 highlights reel from Scoutnation, you will be very impressed.

Shouldn't be a problem, mate. Sandro played in a back—4 at Porto, and even though Juventus switched around a bit with Alves and Barzagli to make it a staggered defense, Allegri used 4-2-3-1/4-4-2/4-5-1 hybrids for the most part - with Sandro behind Mandžukić:

Same this season — with lots of 4-3-3 and Christmas Tree alternates:
Should be perfectly fine in the Premier League under Mourinho - he doesn't have any weakness in him game, really - athletically complete and has a strong technical skill set - can envision him as a slightly worse version of Maicon in terms of his individual abilities. Quite like his fit with Sánchez down the flank: Alexis likes to roam - which means more space out wide for Sandro, and has decent work rate as well - so the defensive shape won't be compromised if Sandro goes on a barnstorming run (speaking of...one quality that makes Sandro really special is that he has a great knack for not leaving his flank overly exposed - even when he attacks). Will sound blasphemous, but he certainly has what it takes to approximate Evra's level for United.

Cheers for the insight, sounds a good fit.

If this transfer goes through, just look our left side:
Sanchez
Pogba
Sandro

Not in the slightest, we turned evra into an amazing fullback Sandro already is one and can surely go on to bigger heights in the PL he’s perfectly suited to it.

Don know whats wrong with him but playing like he is doing this season he would be bench.

Man you watched 8 feking minutes of him playing. I know you're entitled to your own opinion, but that's a bit BS, isn't it?

It’s obvious what’s wrong this season - he doesn’t want to be there. He wanted the move last summer, which seemed like it was going to happen but nothing came of it.
