Alex Iwobi

Not sure Ancelotti will persist with the 523 formation, but Iwobi has been fantastic as a right wing-back today. Best I've seen him play in a while.

Most improved player I’ve seen in ages. 6 assists and 1 goal this season but aside from that his work rate is fecking incredible.

Yeah, I was already impressed that he'd turned himself into a solid central bits-and-pieces type player with good energy and workrate after just being a bit of a shit winger for so long, but now he's actually producing assists from that position as well.

Fair play to Lampard, he was jammy as feck to keep Everton up (and wouldn't have done if it wasn't for Pickford playing Superman for a good 3 or 4 games in April and May), but the use of Iwobi and the way he's turned that defence around this year are starting to make me think he might have a clue after all (or at least is learning on the job pretty quickly).

They've turned the defence around with signing solid CBs in Tarkowski and Coady that have formed a solid partnership. Their spine isn't that bad looking at it on paper, providing DCL stays fit. Think they'll finish around mid table this season.

Horrendously poor player. I can't think of a more average player in the league.
I concur. He is the sort of player that is more detrimental to your own team than the opposition. There are very few players I rate lower than this horrid excuse of a footballer.

Turned into prime Zico against us, turns into Kleberson against Liverpool.

His transition from surprisingly decent CM/AM back to naff winger happened seamlessly, fair play.

Such an odd player and now seems on his way to Fulham. Goes through 3 month-ish purple patches where he looks like he can go onto becoming a great player and then looks turd again.

Basically didn't want to extend with us so we chose to sell from a business sense. We better have someone coming in on the back of this...

Getting 20m ish + is pretty good albeit us taking a loss (He was bought for a 28m initial fee).

cant say i watched a lot of your games but from the occasional watch it seemed he was among your best players when he was playing as a central midfielder last season, once you moved him back to n10/wing role his performances went to shit.

He's been sensational. The type of physical player that drives through us with ease.

We need players like him.
