Risky approach causes more conceded goals, true, with that kind of risk your defense has bigger chance of conceding goals. And you conceded a lot, I'm not taking shots at Ajax, just pointing out the facts.
I don't remember being this nervous for a game since forever. I was less worried about the champions league pens vs Chelsea. This is everything. If we don't get top 4, the players wont come, the season wont go well, Jose could be fired and we are back to square one. Huge Huge game. God knows how Jose wins this one

I don't think any of us will be looking back on it with fond memories but winning the Europa to get out of it next season is huge for us.
Given our past few seasons, 2 trophies and back in Europe is a good season. We have been shite for years now, not really in a position to be picky with what we win imo. Will be a disaster if we don't manage to win though.
Apparently Louis van Gaal is helping Peter Bosz hiw to beat this United. LvG has managed both clubs but has a clear favourite. Make of that what you will, could be a blessing in disguise. #2redcafeTrends.

That makes it sound bigger than it is. They ran into each other yesterday at the coaching congress where Bosz won manager of the year, and got talking and Van Gaal gave him some tips. Ofcourse Van Gaal has a clear favourite, born and raised in Amsterdam, was a youth player at Ajax too.

Yes our finishing has to be on point, but in fairness our defending has been generally very good over the course of the tournament. Ajax will find it very tough to break us down I'm sure. We're certainly defensively at least a level above any of the teams they've faced prior to the final.
Let's not forget what kind of friend Mourinho has been since december 2015, Van Gaal is not known for his forgiveness. Besides that and his loyalty to Ajax and Amsterdam, Bosz and Van Gaal are simular managers who want to play the same kind of football, even if he had no tie to Ajax he'd want that is able to string a few passes together to win.
I'm bloody nervous and it's still almost a week away...but doesn't it feel good to actually have something to be nervous about!

I only watched Ajax highlights vs Lyon and it seems they will most likely play with less pressure than us and they have like 3 4 good talents, other way we have a good squad prepared to play the final and hungry to win it but pressure is extremely huge on us and on the manager so if we can get into this game being a less nerve and quite and begin to gain trust then the cup is ours but if we fail to contain that huge pressure we will lose even if at some point we are playing better football so IMO Jose must do huge team talk and let the guys feel relaxed and mentally strong something we rarely seen this season for sorry.
Not confident at all going into this game. Can't see us scoring more than 1 goal and I can't see us not conceding. Still feel we will get the win somehow though, maybe extra time or penalties.

Yeah I agree, the poster I quoted was mocking some of the more gullible United fans. I didn't know the press are running with that, but it could be sparked by an Ibra instagram post which he captioned 'Ready for the final'. Of course Zlatan is most likely just teasing and not meaning ready to play in the final.

Just having him in and around the changing room before and during half time will be a massive lift. Him pulling Rashford aside and motivating him about scoring goals and getting us into the champions league is priceless!

You're right, it doesn't care thinking, however I still think Jose is the right man to take us forward.

It's certainly the time for Pogba take the game by the scruff of its neck and get us into champions league football.
That's the team I would go for mate, except ide he tempted to swap Jones for Blind as he hasn't exactly been decent the last few games. In the few games Jones has played he's looked pretty solid and in control.
