African Cup of Nations 2021 (played in 2022) | Final: Senegal v Egypt, 7 PM UK time

That's that for Algeria

As results stand, Tunisia, Cape Verde, Malawi and Comoros (?!?!) going through. Will post the bracket once the group stage is concluded later today.

Indeed.

Thank goodness Ivory Coast is on the opposite side of the bracket from Nigeria...
They haven't been as good as Nigeria IMO, though they have a better squad on paper. Credits to their performance but IMO, this game is mostly down to Algeria performing horribly (even worse than they performed in their previous 2 games).

Algeria just didn't turn up for the competition this year. It's crazy how they could be so dominant for three years running and then suddenly look lost and out of ideas practically overnight. They can't even blame it on injuries or absent players or anything of the sort. It's just strange.

This international unbeaten record they were aiming fecked them up maybe. Players and Belmadi talked way too much about that

One of the best shite players to watch

One of the best shite players to watch

He is a weird one. So much ability but so many terrible performances consistently

Ahah, as if they could take our record

Tunisia got 3 soft penalties (one per game) and missed all of them. Strange things.

Here is the bracket :

Nigeria still the only team that looks like they have a plan when they play.

Kessie and Bissouma have been outstanding so far in this competition.

So the draw for the 3rd and final round of the CAF WC qualifiers happened today. Games happen in March.

Egypt vs Senegal

Ghana vs Nigeria

Mali vs Tunisia

DR Congo vs Morocco

Cameroon vs Algeria

Jollof Derby

Some nice storylines in there !

Shame all those people saying the level has been shit and the football boring haven't been watching it recently. Or maybe they just disappeared because of their agenda.

The Burkina - Gabon game was fantastic.
End to end stuff !!!

Hopefully Nigeria - Tunisia will be just as good.

Our final ball has been shit. We are rushing things. We are dominating though.

It seemed reckless and Msakni could have been hurt badly. Unfortunately the slow motion makes it look worse than it is. Once the VAR got involved you knew the risk of a red card was huge.

But I think Nigeria can still turn this around. They’ve been the better team and Tunisia is starting to get tired.

Disappointing if Nigeria go out already
