AFCON 2023 (2024): AFCON 2025 Qualifiers

The level of goalkeeping has been poor in the tournament but I'm impressed by a lot of other aspects. Entertaining games

Onana would have saved those shots that Cameron conceded
Osimehin was super awesome today

Knockout stage game between two sides who haven't won a match yet.

I don't know all of their players of course, but it looks like DR Congo are a fairly decent match for Egypt without Salah?

They're a decent team and it should be a tight game.

Start another cycle of sacking the coach and hiring a new one waiting for the next heart break 2 years later, and so on.

Cape Verde v Mauritiana.

Fantastic match so far!

Another late goal sends Cape Verde through, by far the smallest nation at the tournament

Now for the tie of the round holders vs hosts - this one on BBC3

If that tackle is in the second half I believe it's red.

He's usually more reliable. Looks like the pressure may have gotten to him a little.
Yeah, iirc, hes also not been as good for Napoli this season? I know their whole team was struggling though.

Mane's very lucky there. Surely VAR should've reviewed that?

Could easily have been red - I think it was reviewed?

How can Ivory Coast be so bad? They’ve got a decent squad.
