We should sign him for his great hair alone. He can offset the damage done to our squad's good hair to bad hair ratio by Chris Smalling and his "human pineapple" look.
He is good with the ball at his feet and is capable of playing in tight spaces. His reputation is slightly unwarranted and is really a no brainer signing. It’s puzzling why no clubs have signed him yet, or perhaps all is settled and awaiting a suitable time to announce?
Bayern already said back in Feb that Rabiot's salary demand was too expensive for them. Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern are NOT after Rabiot. Man City is not interested. Spurs and Arsenal are too small for him, so only Man Utd and Juventus left for him. Believe it or not Rabiot doesn't has too much choice now.

He probably won't be as big of a headache as PSG have made him out to be, but the really top clubs aren't going to take that type of risk on a player who isn't a lock for the first 11, and who is asking for high wages.
If he wants to be first choice, he needs to go somewhere like Arsenal, United, or Tottenham, and Arsenal and Tottenham aren't going to put him on huge wages.
It is rumored he wants 10 mil in salary. If we can negotiate a slightly lower base salary with some bonus add-ons I think we should go for him.

We should try and do a deal. If he gets in line and does his bit quietly he would be a bargain.
Considering his on a free we could easily structure it so he gets a big signing bonus and then the week to week salary could be designed to fit into a structure where he won't be an issue like Sanchez.
We have problem personalities in our squad and poor performances to match. I dont mind the idea of Rabiot but only as an addition to bringing in other players that will be mental pitbulls. Guys like De Light and Rice. Ole has a fecking massive undertaking to bring in quality both technically and mentally. And getting rid of our shite.... however without the former happening he is a bit stuffed on the latter. He will have to keep the deadwood. Good luck to him.
Would take him and Longstaff. Get Rice in to shift Matic to Europa league fixtures. You've got a Herrera replacement (sorry I meant upgrade), Carrick replacement and a more mobile defensive midfielder. All three for under 100 million, that's good business.

I like Pogba's numbers. But he needs quality warriors around him. Martial we need to get rid of.
Pogba needs to work on himself and the club needs to work on the team around him also. We need to get rid of useless waste of space like Lingard and even Mata before thinking of getting rid of Martial.
We do, but there is a relevant underlying point there with regards to their inclination to cover ground and play with some intensity. The lethargy in the side overall needs to be overcome. Martial and Pogba are the two most talented people in the squad, so they need to be surrounded with players who can provide the energy to balance the team. Rabiot is not in this mould.
Yes those guys too. But Martial is toxic and does no running. Again I love what Martial brings when at his best but for the good of the club we need to get rid of players like him. We have just as much a problem with attitude as we do with performance. I am pretty sure that is what Ole was alluding to at the end of the season.
For all the players with "attitude problems" Pogba is the one I would keep. He is a fantastic luxury if we get the rest of the team full of hungry players. The rest of our prima donnas can feck off.

Martial and Pogba have to do what is required of them. Take a look at Pool or City, nobody told Guardiola Sterling needs to be surrounded by this or that. They should be told to run their socks off or feck off. We are in no position to choose too much imo. Rabiot would straigh away become our second best MF, we have no CL and need another midfielder on top of that. I think we should try and make a deal on our terms.

This summer i’m more tired and fecking fed up with the lot of them, that I wouldn’t be bothered as much. Then I look at what would be left and I’d be fecking depressed

No I wanted to give him one more season (this season). When he was on song at the begginning of the 17/18 he was a big part of our success playing in tandem with Rashford. I know he got fecked around with the Sanchez signing but his attitude/performances towards the end had me seething. This season has cemented my dislike of him and frankly I dont want any new player being exposed to a personality like that and our tolerance of it. It sends the wrong messages.
I respect your opinion since I agree that the leadership must be more ruthless and change the mentality regarding tolerance of mediocrity. Not sure I would start with Martial even though I agree he can be frustrating. I don’t have much faith in the moron Woodward unfortunately and hardly anything will change. I’m not talking about effort - I’m referring to the intrinsic abilities and inclinations of these players. Rabiot is better than what we have, but success is about both balance and quality. We would certainly need the right holding midfielder if we were to bring him in.
To bring him in on a free transfer is the no brainer of the century, in my opinion, even if he wants a 10mill signing on fee, think of it as paying a £10mill transfer fee for a player of Rabiot's caliber, and he would comfortably be one of our best players, regardless of what you think of his ability (which is good) he's head and shoulders above like the majority of our squad

I got the point which is valid mate, my point is that we have to be smart in building the squad, like Juve and Bayern have been so many times in the past. A player of Rabiot’s ability should not get overlooked in the state we are, even if he is not ideal, current player can adapt according to the needs of the team.
Also I was more thinking of him playing as DMF, that’s why I wrote on our terms along with a reasonable wage.
We should definitely be considering him but didn't the problems start at PSG because he was being played out of position at DM?
